Christina Haack Shares How Heather Rae El Moussa Bettered Her Dynamic With Her Ex

HGTV star Christina Haack says Heather Rae El Moussa helped better her dynamic with her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa.

In a January 29 interview with Access Hollywood, Heather Rae El Moussa, her husband, and his ex-wife spoke about their relationship with each other. Haack suggested that she and Tarek El Moussa were not on the best of terms following their 2016 split. According to Haack, she began to have a better dynamic with Tarek El Moussa, the father of her eldest children, Taylor and Brayden, after Heather Rae El Moussa came into his life. As fans are aware, the El Moussas wed in 2021 and share a 2-year-old son named Tristan.

“I think when Heather came into Tarek’s life, it changed all of our dynamics for the better,” said Haack to Access Hollywood.

According to Haack, her ex-husband “was happier and more settled” after he began dating his now-wife. In addition, she said Heather Rae El Moussa is “great” for Tarek El Moussa.

“I think that was really the turning point,” said Haack to the publication.

Heather Rae El Moussa also said she acts as a “mediator” for Tarek El Moussa and Haack, who divorced in 2018.

“They fight like brother and sister, so it’s really funny,” said Heather Rae El Moussa with a smile.

Christina Haack & Tarek El Moussa Said They Have an Easier Time Not Dwelling on Their Arguments Following Their Divorce

During a joint January 2025 interview with Us Weekly, Haack and her ex-husband said they have had an easier time not dwelling on their arguments after their divorce.

“[Now], I get in the car with my wife and go home. It’s also been a long time since we split. I’ve gone through a lot of personal healing. I got my life back. I met Heather, and I created this new environment and this new family with Taylor, Brayden and Tristan. Christina has gone through a lot of ups and downs, but she’s gone through a lot of healing as well,” said Tarek El Moussa to the publication.

Haack noted that she, Tarek El Moussa, and Heather El Moussa filmed their HGTV series, “The Flip Off” in 2024. In addition, she and Tarek El Moussa had co-starred in their series, “Flip or Flop” during their marriage. According to Haack, “it’s much easier to film with someone when you don’t have to go home with them.”

“It’s not usually a good idea to film with a spouse,” said Haack to Us Weekly.

Christina Haack Said She Did Not Enjoy Filming With Josh Hall

Haack filmed with her third husband, Josh Hall, for “The Flip Off.” However, Hall left the series after the former couple separated in July 2024.

During a November 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Haack said she did not enjoy filming the series with Hall. According to Haack, Hall was jealous of her dynamic with Tarek El Moussa. Haack suggested that Hall believed she and her ex-husband have a flirty dynamic. She said, however, that she views Tarek El Moussa like a brother.
