Christina Haack Changes Her Name & Says She’s ‘Bouncing Back’ in 2025

Six months after filing for divorce from her third husband, Josh Hall, HGTV star Christina Haack has officially returned to her maiden name.

In her Instagram Stories on January 24, 2025, the “Christina on the Coast” star posted a photo of paperwork from the Social Security Administration and wrote, “Officially a Haack 🦅.” During an appearance on “Jeff Lewis Live” earlier in the month, she said the name is pronounced “hawk, like the bird.”

In her July 2024 divorce filing, Haack requested that her name be legally changed back to Christina Meursinge Haack, according to Fox News. She has also changed her name on social media and in the credits of her HGTV shows.

Haack marked her reclaimed name with a positive Instagram post on January 24, declaring that she’s “bouncing back” in 2025 and unbothered by negative comments.

In a car selfie posted on January 24, Haack wrote, “2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ When no one can destroy my peace and only positive + high frequency vibes can enter my aura.”

“My secret to bouncing back,” she continued, is I have never identified with the negativity and “comments”, stayed firm in being authentically me, I’m slightly crazy (but the good kind 😜) and I will never ever give up on my goals and dreams . 🚀 ✨”

Haack’s positive post and name change comes after a tumultuous 2024, with her name continually in the headlines given her contentious divorce with Hall.

Haack was originally married to Tarek El Moussa, with whom she starred on HGTV’s “Flip or Flop” for 10 seasons and they share daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9. After their divorce in 2018, she married TV personality Ant Anstead, and they share son Hudson, 5. After they divorced in 2020 following two years of marriage, she met and married Hall in 2021, with whom she starred on the now-defunct “Christina in the Country.”

In Haack’s Instagram Story about returning to her maiden name, she also wrote, “Identifying as only married twice. Time to update the Wikipedia.” That sentiment echoes what she said during her appearance on “Jeff Lewis Live,” when she repeatedly quipped that she’d had “two and a half” marriages each time Lewis said she’d been married three times.

“I believe in karma, and things happen for a reason,” she told Lewis, “and I feel like I had to go through that because it makes no freaking sense. Doesn’t make sense to my friends, it doesn’t make sense to my family, it just doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

Christina Haack is Now Dating California Businessman Christopher LaRocca

According to multiple sources, Haack is now dating California business executive Christopher LaRocca.

On January 10, the Daily Mail published photos of her looking cozy with LaRocca at a holiday party. She also tagged him in an Instagram Story during her recent trip to France, where she was working on her line of champagne, per People, due out in 2025.

“I’ll always love love,” she told Us Magazine on January 10, revealing that she “probably will” marry again, “but not anytime soon.” She told the outlet that she’d need to be engaged for at least five years before considering marriage again.

Haack will next be seen in HGTV’s “The Flip-Off,” a house flipping competition premiering on January 29, in which she’ll go up against her ex-husband El Moussa and his second wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.
