Christina Haack Wants to ‘Break the Cycle’ of ‘Co-Dependency’ in New Relationship

HGTV star Christina Haack is looking to “break the cycle” of her past relationship issues. Haack shared the details in a vulnerable Instagram post, as she reflected on her current relationship with boyfriend Christopher Larocca. Her fans are supporting her journey and hoping she finds happiness.

Christina Haack Has a Different Outlook About Her New Relationship

On April 8, Haack took to Instagram to open up about how she’s approaching her new relationship with Larocca.

“As someone who recently discovered I have anxious-attachment (not sure what took me so long 🤪) and for sure a history of co-dependency issues … things can be challenging and by ‘things’ I mean ‘me,'” she shared in the caption.

Haack continued, “Meeting an unexpected good man who has his own amazing career, life & hobbies (who also happens to have zero jealousy) can at times feel strange for someone who has had the opposite.”

She noted, “At 41 I’m finally learning about safe communication, independence during commitment and a relationship that is NOT 0-100. I am for sure guilty of putting pressure on others. Facing my own insecurities has forced me into doing the shadow work I’ve been avoiding.”

The HGTV star added, ‘it’s time to break the cycle.”

Haack is currently going through a messy divorce from her third husband, Josh Hall, after nearly three years of marriage. She was previously married to Ant Anstead and Tarek El Moussa.

She made her relationship with Larocca Instagram official in February 2025, captioning a series of photos, “Some plane flights must be hard posted.”

Christina Haack’s Fans Share Words of Support

“The Flip Off” star’s fans loved how open Haack was about her insecurities and praised her for identifying an area that she said she needs to work on.

“I applaud your honesty and vulnerability. We all have our things we work through,” one fan commented. “Acknowledging and working toward our goals is key. I wish you the very best of happiness.”

Another person wrote, “Love your honesty❤️. Vulnerability is actually a great strength. Those who take the time to do their shadow work become a better version of themselves. It’s always well worth it. Signed, a work in progress😊.”

One fan noted, “Happy you realized what has been getting in the way of your happiness. All the best. Asking for help is always a sign of strength.”

Another follower simply noted, “Get it girl.”
