Christina Haack & Ant Anstead Share ‘Sweetest’ Family Photo After Making Up

For the first time in nearly years, HGTV star Christina Haack and her ex-husband Ant Anstead are on such good terms that they shared a blended family photo of themselves with their son on March 10, 2025. In the joint Instagram post, the former couple looked relaxed and happy with five-year-old son Hudson between them, smiling with his arms wrapped around their necks.

The sight thrilled their fans, relieved to see that after years of battling in court over custody issues, Haack and Anstead have mended fences — not only appearing together on HGTV’s “The Flip Off” in early March but now with their son on social media.

Anstead captioned the photo, “Our little gentleman CRUSHED his school performance this morning 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰 He’s thriving x”

Fans Celebrate Christina Haack & Ant Anstead’s Co-Parenting Win

In the comment section of the post, Haack wrote, “Sweetest boy ❤️.” Her best friend Cassie Schienle, who’s appeared many times on her shows, also left five heart emoji in the comment section.

Anstead and Haack married in December 2018 and appeared on her HGTV show “Christina on the Coast” when they were together. The former couple welcomed Hudson in September 2019, but Haack filed for divorce the following summer. By 2022, the duo was entangled in a contentious and highly-public custody battle. However, Haack and Anstead revealed in September 2024 that they’d mended fences and had established a positive co-parenting relationship.

Within three hours of the photo going live, nearly 50,000 fans had liked the post and flooded the comment section with excitement, seeing it as another step towards lasting peace between the former couple.

One person wrote, “Gah… you two look stunning together, regardless of circumstances this is a beautiful family! So happy you have overcome challenges and working together to coparenting! ❤️❤️”

Another fan commented, “Aww, I love this so much for all of you! What a great example you’re setting for your children. 🙌✌️”

Someone else chimed in, “I’m so freaking proud of y’all! ❤️💯” and another wrote, “LOVE LOVE LOVE that you guys are able to co parent so well and that you have resolved the bad feelings and moved on…so inspiring”

Christina Haack & Ant Anstead Explained Their Reconciliation on ‘The Flip Off’

Haack and Anstead’s post comes less than a month after they reunited onscreen in “The Flip Off,” the house flipping competition in which she competed against her first husband, fellow HGTV star Tarek El Moussa, and his second wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. Haack was initially paired up on the show with her third husband, Josh Hall, but the two split as the series started filming and he only appeared in the first episode.

Interestingly, Haack’s breakup with Hall led to a make-up with Anstead, she revealed on the show.

“Ant is my second ex-husband,” she explained after asking Anstead to serve as a judge on the show. “He is also the father to my third child Hudson, and an engineer and a car builder. If Ant was a judge — because Tarek is aware of some of the issues that Ant and I have had throughout the years — it’ll be a bit surprising and, let’s say, shocking.”

“Ant and I split up when Hudson was one, and now Hudson is five,” she continued. “Between the time of his first birthday and, I would say, fifth birthday, we did not communicate a lot. After Josh and I split up, I went over to his house to pick up Hudson ’cause I was taking him to a birthday party. And when I walked up to the door, he gave me a huge hug.”

“We hadn’t hugged in years,” Haack admitted. “And he just said, ‘I’m so sorry for everything that you’re going through and I’m here for you no matter what you need. And it was a very nice moment, and we had a long talk after, and we decided to put all the B.S. aside and be good co-parents, like Tarek and I are, for Hudson.”

As a judge on “The Flip Off,” Anstead even made the controversial decision to award his week’s challenge to Haack simply because she’s the mother of his child.

He told the El Moussas and Haack, “Hudson is five now. And in those five years, it’s been really, really difficult. And that changed three months ago. The relationship that we have now is really, really important. And it’s been a transformation.”

“As parents, it took us four and a half years to get to that point, which is really shameful,” Anstead continued. “You and I will be connected forever because we have a kid. So ultimately, I have to stand by the mother of my kid.”
