Chip Gaines had a bit of a motion sickness issue during the family’s June 2025 trip to Universal Studios. Joanna Gaines shared a video of their fun-filled day, complete with Chip trying to hold it together on one of the rides.
Chip Gaines Had a Rough Time During Universal Studios Visit
On June 24, Joanna Gaines took to Instagram to share some highlights of their day at Universal Studios.
“We spent the day @unistudios and had a blast!” the former HGTV star shared in the caption. “Crew was sure he was living in a dream and didn’t want to wake up.”
She continued, “Chip was trying to mind over matter motion sickness.🤣”
The “Magnolia Table With Joanna Gaines” star added, “Super Nintendo World gave me all the feels of being a kid again and made me want to bust out my old gaming set and show the kids my skills. What a day 🍄 ✨.”
The video showed off the excitement of the park, with a clip of Chip looking very rough on one of the rides.
Fans could relate to Chip feeling queasy on the rides, with one person commenting, “Motion rides hit differently after 40.”
One fan shared, “The motion sickness is real. I feel your nausea, Chip,” while another noted, “Ohhh I get so queasy on all the rides there.”
Others offered up some ideas to help with the motion sickness, including ginger root and a Scopolamine patch.
Other fans commented on what a great day they had, with one noting, “Looks like a blast! What a sweet family!” and another person commenting, “Family time = quality time.”
In another Instagram post, Joanna shared photos from her past visits to the theme park. “First time at @unistudios way back in 1978,” she wrote in the caption. “Then in 1987. And now in 2025😍.”
Chip Gaines Doesn’t Like Roller Coasters
In February 2025, Joanna shared photos of their Disney World trip and you could easily spot which one of them was having the time of their life and which was feeling ill.
“One of us LOVES roller coasters, and one of us does not 🤣 ➡️ @chipgaines,” she noted in the caption.
Joanna was seen smiling and throwing her hands in the air, while Chip seemed to be struggling.
It wasn’t all rough for Chip, however. Joanna also shared a video that showed all the fun they got up to. “We surprised Crew with a trip to @waltdisneyworld and we ALL had the very best day,” she shared in the caption. “It’s no wonder they call it the most magical place on earth ✨.”
