HGTV’s Chelsea DeBoer Gets Tattooed at ‘Down Home Fab’ Wrap Party: ‘Obsessed’

HGTV star Chelsea DeBoer will never forget filming the third season of “Down Home Fab.” That’s because she now has a permanent reminder of the wrap party held on February 7, 2025.

In her Instagram Stories, the “Teen Mom” alum shared glimpses of the party as she and her husband Cole DeBoer celebrated with the show’s crew at Gibs Sports Bar & Grill in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The night included dancing, drinking, pool playing and even tattooing — something Chelsea was happy to take part in, showing fans that she got a horseshoe tattoo behind her ear.

Chelsea DeBoer Says She’s ‘Obsessed’ With Her New Tattoo

In one pic Chelsea shared in her Stories from the “Down Home Fab” wrap party, the bar’s marquee announced the shindig happening inside, emblazoned with the words “CONGRATS COLE & CHELSEA DeBoer on Season 3 Downhome Fab!”

In another, Chelsea showed signage about the “tiny tats” offered to attendees by Jane Lee Studios, which specializes in fine line tattooing. Multiple one-color designs were available, all with a “down home” vibe, including a cowboy hat, a revolver shooting a bullet, cowboy boots with a cowboy hat perched on top of them, or the words “YEEHAW” or “GiddyUp.”

Another available design was a horseshoe, which is what Chelsea got tattooed behind her left ear. As seen above, a fan page dedicated to Chelsea re-posted a video she’d shared in her Instagram Stories on of herself getting the tattoo. It also shared a photo she’d added of the new tat — covered by protective plastic wrap — over which she wrote, “Obsessed.”

It wasn’t her first tattoo; both she and Cole are big fans of getting inked. Her designs, as seen in photos she’s posted, include a sunflower on her right bicep, extensive designs on her left forearm, and stars with the word “gratitude” on her hands.

Chelsea also posted a video from the party in which Cole was seen picking up new dance moves from designer and former “Going For Sold” host Mary Tjon-Joe-Pin. The designer has worked on multiple HGTV shows but moved her family to Sioux Falls after falling in love with the city while working on “Down Home Fab.”

Tjon-Joe-Pin posted a brief video from a photo shoot with the “Down Home Fab” production crew as they wrapped filming on February 6 and wrote, “No words…just amazing memories! 🎬🎬🎬”

Chelsea & Cole DeBoer Spent 6 Months Filming 3rd Season of ‘Down Home Fab’

After two seasons of “Down Home Fab” airing on HGTV, the network surprised the DeBoers in July 2024 with a gift package that announced the show had been renewed for a third season, prompting Chelsea to break down in tears.

Beginning in September, the DeBoers and their crew spent nearly six months shooting the third season, renovating homes for families in the Sioux Falls area. On September 9, Tjon-Joe-Pin posted a video montage of pics, as seen above, to commemorate the the first day of filming the new season.

She captioned the post, “Day 1 of filming with the most amazing host and phenomenal crew! I still can’t believe I get to do this for a living. Feeling incredibly grateful and looking forward to executing @chelseahouska #Downhomefab designs!!!”

HGTV hasn’t announced a premiere date yet for the new season, but the first two seasons are available to stream on Max and Discovery+.
