Chelsea and Cole DeBoer help people transform their living spaces on the HGTV series “Down Home Fab,” but what does “home” look like for the famous couple? Before finding TV renovation fame, the pair redesigned a stunning farmhouse in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, which they have called home ever since.
At just under 2,000 square feet, as The U.S. Sun shared, the five-bedroom farmhouse was originally constructed in 2008. After renovations, Chelsea and Cole were left with a home perfectly suited for their family of six. As Life & Style reported, construction began back in 2020, and the end result of their hard work is truly stunning.
The Pair Renovated The Home With Their Family in Mind
In 2023, Chelsea and Cole took HGTV fans on a house tour, showing off many of the thoughtful features that went into their design. The pair clearly kept their family’s needs top of mind during the renovation process, prioritizing open, cozy gathering places inside and out. Chelsea highlighted many of her favorite aspects of their home in the tour, including the family room in their basement.
“We love, love, love to have movie nights down here as a family,” Chelsea said of the bright, spacious room. “It’s one of our favorite things to do.” The basement also includes some unique touches specially designed for their children, including a playhouse Cole built for them. Of course, no kid-friendly home is complete without plenty of room for snacks, which the couple accounted for with a kids’ station in their walk-in pantry.
Animals Are a Big Part of Life on Chelsea and Cole’s Farm
A farm just isn’t truly a farm without some four-legged residents, and Chelsea and Cole often share updates about their farm animals on social media. In a TikTok video from 2023, the “Teen Mom 2” alum shared how she and Cole decide on names for their animals. “We like to name our animals a lot of human names, mainly dad and grandpa names,” she explained.
The video features the pair’s goats and cows, as well a pig named Pete and several other animals. As The US Sun reported, the couple’s property includes six whole acres of picturesque farmland. This gives them plenty of space for their menagerie. In their 2023 house tour video, Chelsea and Cole showed off their screened-in patio, which has a perfect view of their land. In addition to being able to watch their adopted animals, Chelsea shared that the patio is a good place to see some unexpected visitors. “We always have wild animals roaming around the property, and that is my favorite part about being out here,” she said.
