Just before the season finale of HGTV’s new show “Castle Impossible” was scheduled to air on June 17, 2025, at 9 p.m. Eastern time, the stars of the series — married couple Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira — thanked all their new fans and asked them for a final push of support.
“We have been thrilled to have so many people joining us for our castle adventures and it means the world to us to have the support and encouragement from so many of you,” they wrote in an Instagram just before the finale premiered.
They continued, “The best way to support us and our efforts at the castle is to spread the word and tune in tonight for the finale! It really helps! We cannot thank YOU enough for following along with us on this journey and we hope to see you again soon! đź’•”
Fans Flood Post With Support for ‘Castle Impossible’ Continuing
Fans of the unique show, which has followed the couple as they restore a 500-year-old castle located just outside of Paris, immediately flooded their post with comments. Many thanked the couple for their dedication, assured them they’ll be watching, and expressed hope the series will return.
One wrote, “I will be watching and I have all my friends and subscribers watching and I watch all your YouTube videos with my hubby! Love you guys and how authentic you are! I hope they give us a season 2 if it works for you two. I know filming in Europe is difficult. See you tonight! đź’•đź’•đź’•

What is HGTV’s ‘Castle Impossible’ About?
“Castle Impossible,” which premiered in late April, has followed Reckert and Figueira’s adventures as they renovate a 500-year-old French chateau they inherited from Reckert’s grandpa.
They also urged new fans to catch up on episodes by streaming them on HBO Max or Discovery Plus, as well as following them on their YouTube Channel. Although their HGTV show has brought them wide exposure, the couple, who call themselves the Wild Figs on social media, have been filming their renovation adventure for YouTube video updates since 2022.
Their channel’s profile says the chateau they inherited includes a “500-year-old medieval dungeon, hunters lodge, 18th century farmhouse, 28 horse stables, and a large forest with two lakes.” According to HGTV, the sprawling estate once welcomed royal guests including King Louis XIII.
The chateau serves a popular wedding destination site, and the duo has used their skills in carpentry, conservation, and landscaping to restore the centuries-old castle.
The season finale of “Castle Impossible” will air on HGTV on June 17 at 9 p.m. Eastern time, preceded by a marathon of prior episodes.
