Ben Napier Shares When He & Erin Napier Were the ‘Happiest’ in Their Career

HGTV star Ben Napier is sharing when he and his wife, Erin Napier, were happiest in their career.

On the March 6 episode of the “Willoughby Hills with Heath Racela” podcast, Ben Napier shared he felt the happiest in his career when he and his wife were only focused on her stationary shop, Lucky Luxe Couture Correspondence. As fans are aware, Erin Napier’s main job was running her letterpress wedding stationery store before she and her husband were approached by HGTV to have their own series, “Home Town,” which premiered in 2016.

“The happiest we ever were with work as far as our cups being filled, we have enough money to exist on, was when it was just the letterpress stationery company. And it was a very short-lived time because I resigned from my position within the church. And we had this company. Again, we weren’t making a lot of money. But we were making enough to live on,” said Ben Napier during the podcast interview.

He clarified that he and his wife are “extremely blessed and extremely happy with [their] career” as HGTV stars.

“That’s very easy for me to because now we have a successful TV show. And we are now comfortable financially. But there is an element of stress that comes along with all of that,” said Ben Napier.

Ben Napier Said He & His Wife Will Continue Starring on HGTV Until the Network Doesn’t Want Them

During a March 2025 interview with TV Insider, alongside Erin Napier, Ben Napier shared that they intend to film for HGTV until their contracts are no longer renewed.

“HGTV has been extremely good to us and our family. Somebody asked me recently, ‘How much longer are you going to do this?’ We’ll do it until they don’t want us to, I guess,” said Ben Napier to the publication.

Erin Napier interjected that their “family is [their] first priority.” The couple are parents to two daughters, Helen and Mae Napier.

“If there is ever a point it feels like it might be affecting our family in a negative way, we walk away,” said Erin Napier during the interview.

Ben Napier then said “HGTV knows that” and “respect[s] that.”

Erin Napier Said She Wants Her Daughters to Understand the Importance of Their Parents’ Work

While speaking to Yahoo in March 2025, Erin Napier said she hoped her daughters understand the importance of her and her husband’s work. She noted that she and Ben Napier make an effort to better and showcase smaller towns throughout the United States.

“I hope our girls see that the reason we get up and go to work every day, and the reason it matters so much, is that these small towns in America are the flavor of America,” said Erin Napier. “Whether it’s Laurel [Miss., where the Napiers live] or Fort Morgan, all of them have something very special to offer in the American experience. I hope [our daughters] don’t feel like they can only live their dream in a big city, because that’s just not the case. You can have the dream wherever you are, especially in such a connected age when you have access to the internet. You can live in any small town in America and live the life you want. And that’s what I’m excited about, that we can tell that story.”
