Ben & Erin Napier Reveal When They Plan to Quit HGTV’s ‘Home Town’

HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier aren’t going anywhere just yet, as they signed a deal with the network in January 2025 to continue their show through 2027. They did, however, shed some light on when they might call it quits with “Home Town.”

When Will Ben & Erin Napier Stop Making HGTV Shows?

During a March 2025 interview with TV Insider, Ben and Erin were asked how long they plan to continue working on television. The couple signed a multi-year deal with HGTV, which will have them busy for a while.

Do they have any plans to quit? Ben shared that they really don’t have a firm end date in mind.

“HGTV has been extremely good to us and our family,” Ben explained. “Somebody asked me recently, ‘How much longer are you going to do this?’ We’ll do it until they don’t want us to, I guess.”

Erin added, “Do it till it don’t as we say.”

Ben noted, “Of course, we’re happy to have it.”

His wife stressed, “But our family is our first priority. If there is ever a point it feels like it might be affecting our family in a negative way, we walk away.”

According to Ben, they have an understanding with the network. “And HGTV knows that. They respect that,” he explained.

On March 5, Ben took to Instagram to share a peek at their time in Sebring, Florida for the show “Home Town Takeover.”

“Sebring on 35mm. I wanna go back. @erinapier and myself are part of an incredible team that made this show happen,” he explained in the caption. “We can’t wait for y’all to see our journey back to vacationland of yesteryear. These people made it fun. A wise man once told me that if you’re not having fun making the tv, then the viewers at home won’t have fun watching it.”

Ben Napier Explores Podcasting Career

Ben also shared how he fell into doing a podcast. “We kind of don’t make plans anymore. The podcast was more my brother said, ‘You should start doing interviews on podcasts and using that for PR and media,'” he explained.

Ben continued, “He says this because he is in an 18-wheeler all day listening to talk radio and podcasts. He told me the ones out there working are listening to podcasts. I just put that out there asking what some people listen to and we should try getting on them.”

The HGTV star noted that the whole thing “took off” and now he’s exploring how to do a podcast with his brothers.

“Now we’re talking with my brothers about the four of us getting together and doing a podcast about cars because that’s my hobby,” he shared. “And it’s not work. We’ll see. I don’t know.”
