Though longtime HGTV star Alison Victoria is head over heels in love with her beau, filmmaker Brandt Andersen, she is giving very little thought to them tying the knot.
In late November 2024, when Us Weekly asked the “Windy City Rehab” star whether marriage was in the cards, Victoria replied, “I don’t like that kind of stuff. I like living in the moment. I really do.”

Victoria, 42, first went public with Andersen, 47, on the red carpet at the Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on June 9, when her show was nominated. They have since turned up on many other red carpets around the world, as Andersen’s award-winning film “The Stranger’s Case” has been showcased at film festivals. The movie is about the chain of events that happens across families after an explosion “forever alters the lives of a Syrian family in Aleppo.”
Andersen is a filmmaker and activist, per IMDb. In addition to working on humanitarian documentaries like, his producer credits include “Everest” starring Jake Gyllenhaal, “Lone Survivor” starring Mark Wahlberg, “2 Guns” starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, Martin Scorsese’s “Silence” starring Adam Driver, and “American Made” starring Tom Cruise.
Though Victoria has loved traveling the world with Andersen on their various projects, neither are in any rush to marry, she told Us, noting that they’ve both been married before. Victoria was married to Luke Harding from 2013 to 2019, but details around Andersen’s past marriage have not been disclosed.
“I just love being with him,” Victoria told Us. “So every day (I’m) staying present, not thinking about the future, and just doing it right now.”
Victoria and Andersen met during a wellness retreat, she told People in October, and that they spent hours talking on the phone after it was over.
“I mean 8 hours, 9 hours another night, 5 hours,” she recalled. “It was truly like getting to each other’s core through the practice and in turn just falling. Because when I left, I loved him … getting to know him on these calls and just becoming friends, I fell in love with him. It was crazy.”
“I have never felt more safe,” she added, “and that’s something I have never felt in my life.”

Though they may not have immediate plans for a wedding, Victoria and Andersen did spend Thanksgiving together with his grown kids, he told Us Weekly.
“We’re doing Thanksgiving together with my kids,” Andersen told Us Weekly, adding, “we’re gonna be together all through the holidays.”
Meanwhile, Victoria has invited Andersen to join her annual ‘sibling weekend’ in Michigan.
“I do a sibling weekend every year in Michigan with my siblings and my nieces and nephews, she told Us Weekly, “and he’ll be with (me),” she said.
“Of course, I wish I met him earlier,” she told the outlet, adding, “But I wouldn’t be the person that I am able (or be able) to give the way that I do in this relationship if I hadn’t kissed a few toads.”
