Hallmark’s hit series “The Way Home” is set to return for its third season on January 2, 2025, on Hallmark+. The season will introduce three new actors who portray pivotal characters from the 1970s who may reveal more about the Landrys’ backstory.
Behind-the-scenes glimpses of season 3 are generating a lot of excitement among fans, even while many viewers are still skeptical about the show moving to Hallmark’s premium streaming platform. (The series will premiere on TV later in the fall fo 2025.)
Variety reported that season 3 will feature time travel back to 1974 when Del and Colton first met as teens. Meanwhile, Alice is going to meet a young Evelyn Goodwin, and their friendship may cause some complications in the present day.
Here’s a closer look at the three new stars joining “The Way Home.”
Julia Tomasone as Teen Del
Julia Tomasone is stepping into the role of a young Del, before she married Colton Landry. She’s featured briefly in the trailer for the new season.
On her Instagram, Tomasone commented on her new role on the show, writing: “I’m beyond excited to finally share what I’ve been working on these past few months! So grateful to be part of the magical world they’ve created, working alongside a phenomenal cast and crew, and to share a role with the incredibly talented Andie MacDowell.”

According to IMDb, she won Best Leading Young Actress at the Young Entertainer Awards in 2017 for “Backstage,” she’s on the “Ghostwriter: Reboot of the 1990s” series on AppeTV+, “Murdoch Mysteries,” “Love in Whitbrooke,” four episodes of “Street Legal,” and more.
Jordan Doww as Teen Colton
Jordan Doww joins the cast as teen Colton Landry, exploring his backstory and the events that helped shape his legacy within the Landry family. Doww, known for his work in “Ganymede,” has expressed his excitement about the role on social media.
On Instagram, after the news of his role was made public, Doww wrote: “Honored beyond belief to join the incredible Landry legacy in @hallmarkchannel’s #TheWayHome – you all are in for such a TREAT. Thank you thank you thank you! 🥹🫶🏻✨”

Devin Cecchetto as Teen Evelyn
Evelyn has been one of the more mysterious characters on the show, and a strange comment she made about Colton near the end of season 2 has left fans with quite a few questions. Now it looks like they might be getting answers, as Devin Cecchetto has been cast to play the role of a teenage Evelyn.
On Instagram she teased her role, writing: “It’s ABOUT TO GET WILD !! No spoilers 😉 make sure to watch the first two seasons sooo you are all caught up for January 2rd !!!! 💛💛💛💛”
Williams replied: “Yeahhhhhh!! Welcome Devin. You did such great work this year!!!”
