As longtime Hallmark star Tamera Mowry-Housley returns to playing one of her favorite characters during a two-month overseas shoot, the mom of two is missing her family back home in Napa Valley, California. Mowry-Housley and her husband Adam Housley have a 12-year-old son, Aden, and a nine-year-old daughter, Ariah.
On February 3, 2025, Mowry-Housley revealed in her Instagram Stories that she’s away from her family, back in Ireland to play one of her favorite characters, Gethsemane Brown, the heroine in “Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Murder in G Major,” which premiered in September 2023 on Hallmark Mystery.
Posting an outdoor selfie of herself wearing a black Nike baseball cap and workout wear with headphones on, Mowry-Housley didn’t hide a glistening spot beneath her eye and wrote, “Yes…you see a little tear. Missing my family but leaning on my faith knowing that this will be such a beautiful blessed journey.”

Over another photo of Mowry-Housley walking in her workout gear and full-length winter parka, she wrote, “Here we goooo! #Gethsemanebrown”
According to Ireland’s Screen Crew and Services Database, “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” is scheduled to film for more than two months, from February 4 to April 11, in Dublin and picturesque Wicklow, located about 30 miles south of the city.
Most Hallmark movies are limited to 15-day film shoots, so it’s likely that Mowry-Housley is shooting multiple movies for the mystery franchise given the lengthy schedule. Linda Lisa Hayter has returned to direct, per production notes, but it’s not clear yet if Mowry-Housley’s previous co-stars Marco Grazzini and Risteárd Cooper are back in the picture.
It seems likely that Mowry-Housley won’t have to go the full two months without seeing her family, as they have visited her on previous film sets, including the spring 2023 shoot in Ireland for her original “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” movie.
In November 2024, when Mowry-Housley shared a birthday post on Instagram for her son Aden’s 12th birthday, Irish actor Ben Cordon — who played Seamus in the first movie — foreshadowed a coming trip for the family by commenting, “Happy birthday dude see you soon for a Irish haircut ❤️”
Tamera Mowry-Housley Didn’t Get to Promote 1st ‘Haunted Harmony Mystery’ Due to Hollywood Strikes
The original “Haunted Harmony Mystery” movie, “Murder in G Major,” was based on the first novel in author Alexia Gordon’s five-book “Gethsemane Brown Mystery” series. In Hallmark’s 2023 adaptation, Mowry-Housley played Brown, a new teacher at an Irish prep school who “is shocked to find a ghost haunting her house” and tries to “help solve his murder in the hopes that it will allow him to move on.”
When the movie was released that September, Mowry-Housley didn’t get to promote it due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes, which prohibited actors’ from speaking about their projects at the time. In November, after the strikes had ended, she shared a bit about the movie on Instagram.
Sharing an image of the movie poster, she wrote, “Feeling blessed and grateful for the journey with
#HauntedHarmonyMysteries: Murder in G Major! 🎶✨ I was so grateful to have been able to work with some amazing actors earlier this year!”
To Hayter, she wrote a note thanking “our fearless director. You have my heart forever. 💚 What fun we had huh?! Love you.”
In April 2023, after filming had completed, Mowry-Housley posted photos from the shoot and wrote, “Missing Ireland and becoming one of my fav characters I have had the blessing to play in a film.☘️”
Hallmark has not publicly announced Mowry-Housley’s new “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” so it’s not clear when the new movie or movies will be released.
