As “Doc” star and Hallmark Channel actor Scott Wolf, 57, navigates a complicated divorce from his wife of 21 years, life coach and former reality star Kelley Wolf, 48, he has taken the steps he thinks are necessary to protect their three children — Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.
On June 26, 2025, Us Weekly reported that a Utah judge has granted Scott a restraining order against Kelley and temporary custody of their children. According to the outlet, the court order states that Kelley “engaged in an escalating pattern of behavior that poses a substantial threat of immediate and irreparable harm to the parties’ minor children.”
Fans following the unfolding drama, including Kelley being placed under an involuntary hold, have begun to leave supportive and encouraging messages for the “A Merry Scottish Christmas” star on his social media accounts as he figures out a way forward for their family.
Kelley Wolf Returned Home on June 25, But Judge’s Restraining Order Says Only Scott Wolf & Kids Are Permitted There
GettyThese latest developments come days after Kelley was released from an involuntary hold at a Utah mental health hospital, following her detainment by police on June 13. Three days earlier, she announced via Instagram that she and Scott were divorcing, and he later released his own statement to People.
On June 25, Scott was awarded temporary sole physical and legal custody of their three children “until further notice,” according to TMZ, and the judge stated that Kelley “shall not have any parent-time or contact” with Scott or the kids.
TMZ also reported that Scott was awarded “sole and exclusive use and possession” of their home in Park City, Utah. After spending multiple days at a local resort, Kelley posted multiple videos on Instagram on the evening of June 25 from their family’s home, including Stories revealing that she’d brought suitcases and boxes full of belongings home with her. Showing dishes in the sink, she said she’d been busy cooking and playing with their dogs and cat. Over one story, she wrote that she was “feeling great and very happy to be home with my kiddos! They come home on Friday.”
According to Us Weekly, the court order was granted because Kelley tried to “remove” their kids from the country, “combined with the behavior sufficient for Kelley to be detained by law enforcement and subsequently placed on an involuntary psychiatric commitment.”
After her release, Kelley posted on June 20 that she was with her kids at the Utah Rodeo, filming a video with horses and people in the background. But there was no evidence of the kids and, hours later, Scott posted a photo in his Instagram Stories of them on an airport’s moving walkway and wrote, “With my forever squad.”
Kelley has posted frequently on Instagram since her release, including an update reviewed by EntertainmentNow on June 23 in which she said she was “ecstatic” about plans to take her children to Spain.
Sharing a since-deleted screenshot of her kids on a video call with her, Us Weekly reported that she wrote in the post, “JUST CALLED ALL THREE KIDS to let them know that I pitched a show I’ve been dreaming about for OVER A DECADE.”
After describing the show idea at length, she wrote, “Telling my kids we’re going to Spain in a few weeks, and that when we come back, Mama might finally get to make the show she’s been dreaming of since she was their age? Full. Circle. Moment.”
That post came shortly after Kelley posted a screenshot in her Instagram Stories of an overdrawn bank account and wrote, “i’m so lucky to have so many friends around the world who would not only loan me money, but have offered me their homes and kindness and love. I’m sure you guys are having a great time. I’m wondering how you’re affording this trip? Especially since Scott made me cancel our trip to Spain for the summer? So weird? AnyWho? I’d really like to talk to the kids because I’m at the house and they’re not here but I didn’t even know you guys were even gone? Do you want to explain what’s going on?”
That was followed by another Instagram Story in which she said her “ex in-laws” had taken the whole family to Cape Cod and that it was “sweet” they were “spoiling the grandkids.”
Fans Offer Encouragement to Scott Wolf During Difficult Time
Scott has posted only once on social media since his and Kelley’s divorce was announced on June 10, with the Instagram Story he shared as he and his kids were at the airport. But fans have been commenting on his most recent Instagram post, shared on his daughter’s birthday May 25th birthday, expressing their hopes for the best possible outcome for all.
One thoughtful fan wrote, “Prayers for your kids and your family 🙏”
“I can’t imagine what you’ve been through,” another wrote. “But inside Kelley is still a wonderful woman that wishes she could be herself again. It breaks my heart. I had pretty severe drinking/mental health issues during Covid and it has taken years to get my life back. Go easy on yourself, try to go easy on her. Kelley isn’t there right now 💔🙏🏼”
