Scott Wolf Retains Sole Custody of Kids in New Agreement With Kelley Wolf: What Happens Next

Actor Scott Wolf, a Hallmark Channel fan favorite and star of FOX’s “Doc,” has dropped the temporary restraining order against his estranged wife, Kelley Wolf, but will retain sole custody of their three children, according to multiple reports on July 19, 2025.

After 21 years of marriage, the couple announced their impending divorce on June 10, but the weeks since have been rocky, including Kelley, 48, being placed under a five-day involuntary hold at a mental health hospital on June 13 to Scott, 57, being granted a restraining order and temporary custody of their kids — Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.

According to Us Weekly, a new, proposed order was submitted to the court to end the temporary restraining order and begin a new agreement that Scott and Kelley worked out with their legal reps. Meanwhile, People reported that both parties signed agreement on July 15, which includes guidelines regarding custody, visitation rights for Kelley, financial support, and rules around communication. The outlet said the temporary restraining order was dismissed on July 19.

Kelley Wolf Will Receive ‘Liberal’ Supervised Visits With Kids While Scott Wolf Continues to Have Temporary Sole Custody

According to People, the new arrangement will allow Kelley “liberal” supervised time with her children, attended by a court-appointed guardian and “coordinated by counsel.” She’ll also get “three supervised video or phone calls per week with the children during reasonable waking hours,” the outlet reported. If her kids initiate contact with her beyond that, the court order states she is allowed to respond.

Neither Scott nor Kelley is allowed to “discuss adult issues, the divorce or the children’s relationship with the other parent” in front of their children, People reported. The court order, per the outlet, also stipulates that they can’t make “disparaging remarks verbally or in writing” and are “prohibited from interrogating the children about what happens at the other parent’s home.”

People said the hope is for Kelley to “regain unsupervised parenting time” at some point, according to the agreement’s stated goals. For now, per People, Scott will still “control marital funds, covering household expenses” and will provide Kelley with $10,000 per month for living costs. The agreement said he will cover her car payments, minimum payments on credit cards, and some attorney fees, People reported.

Scott Wolf & Kelley Wolf Agreed Not to Discuss Family or Divorce on Social Media

The new agreement between Scott and Kelley also includes a “social media gag order,” according to People, which reported that “neither party may post about one another, their marriage, children or the divorce, nor allow any third party to do so.”

Scott, who starred in Hallmark’s 2023 hit “A Merry Scottish Christmas,” has not posted about his kids since sharing an image of them from behind at an airport in mid-June, as they headed on a trip a week after the divorce filing. Kelley has posted multiple times in her Instagram Stories about her kids since the restraining and custody orders were put in place, but not since the new agreement was signed.

On July 16, she shared multiple Instagram posts from a Utah “cabin” where she’s staying. According to the agreement, per People, Scott and the kids will continue to have exclusive use of their family’s Park City home, so Kelley is staying elsewhere.

When mutually agreed upon, Kelley is allowed to spend her supervised parenting time with her kids at the family home, per People, but is “otherwise barred from entering the property.”

In one video, she had her feet up on a chair as the sun set and wrote, “We ALL deserve PEACE.” In another video, as she burned sage outside, she wrote, “love is so simple.”

Kelley also posted a photo of a counter with beer bottles and fresh cut greenery in her Stories on July in which she wrote, “I’m so proud of my roots and grateful my momma taught me how to be a lady … look how cute this place is?! I love it! Feeling FREE!! It’s been a hard year…”
