Hallmark alum Ryan Paevey shared an announcement on social media that has his fans buzzing. The “Unleashing Mr. Darcy” star has stepped away from acting for now, and he is living a fairly quiet life. On January 24, he revealed he is making an effort to reconnect with some of his supporters.
Ryan Paevey Arranged 2 Small Events for Fans
Paevey revealed he would launch “The IOU Tour with Ryan & Toshi,” which involves two gatherings in La Jolla, California. He shared the two events would take place on April 12 and 13, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The announcement read, “Join us for a meet & greet and exclusive dining experience at Shiku Sushi in La Jolla!”
Each date was open to only 30 people, the announcement noted, and tickets were $80 each. Tickets, which it was noted covered the food, could be obtained on Paevey’s Fortunate Wanderer website.
In addition, the announcement noted, “Afterward, let’s explore beautiful La Jolla together!” There was also a note that read, “Calling it a tour because maybe if everyone plays nice, we will do it again next year.”
Both dates in April quickly sold out.
In the caption of his Instagram post announcement, Paevey added a few additional details. He explained, “Okay guys, after much consideration and reswizzling and all that jazz, we have a firm date for the little get together in April.”
Paevey announced that tickets would become available via his website on January 26, and he noted a “bunch of shiny stuff and apparel” of his would also be available on the site for purchase.
He quipped he made those additional items available “If ya wanna support a semi-retired actor in his attempts to keep him and his afloat in this weird world.”
The actor reiterated in his caption that he might be open to arranging additional gatherings like this. “Aaaaaaaand if this works out okay, and everybody plays nice and is respectful and nothing psychotic happens…….maybe we’ll do this again at some point. ; )”
Fans Were Eager to Buy Tickets, but They Sold out Quickly
Fans of Paevey’s left comments on the post asking if he might consider additional locations in the future. He replied to one fan noting he was excited about the event, and one commenter even indicated they might fly to California from Belgium to attend.
One fan wrote, “Those tickets went fast! Not surprised, though. So, I’m counting on those fortunate souls to behave so he will do this again.”
Someone else suggested the tickets sold out in “1/2 a minute,” and another of Paevey’s fans responded, “I never doubted it. Ryan has no idea how much he is loved. ❤️”
Paevey noted the small limit was due to the size of the restaurant. His fans clearly have an interest in attending that type of event, so many will be eager to see if he plans additional ones in the future.
