Will Hallmark’s Rachel Boston Return for More ‘Mrs. Miracle’ Movies?

It’s a miracle! Hallmark Channel fans think the network has found its new “Mrs. Miracle” in Rachel Boston, who became the third actress to take on the magical role when “Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle” premiered on Thanksgiving night. Many took to social media to share how much they loved the 2024 movie and want to see Boston return for more.

Though Hallmark hasn’t announced plans for producing more “Mrs. Miracle” movies, Boston has already weighed in how grateful she was to play the character and hopes to return, telling People, “We hope to have many, many more stories to share.”

Rachel Boston Says She Cried Upon Learning She’d Soon Play Mrs. Miracle

Boston’s new movie is Hallmark’s fourth film based on the Mrs. Miracle character — an angel who’s been arriving in disguise to help families for generations — created by New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber. Late actress Doris Roberts first played the character in 2009’s “Mrs. Miracle” and 2010’s “Call Me Mrs. Miracle.” In 2021, Caroline Rhea stepped into the role for “Debbie Macomber’s A Mrs. Miracle Christmas.”

Boston, who’s starred in more than a dozen Hallmark movies since 2015, cried tears of joy when she landed the role of Mrs. Miracle, she told People.

“When I got the call and I found out that I was going to be playing her, I truly just had tears running down my face, I was so excited,” she said. “There’s being cast in a movie and then there’s being cast as Mrs. Miracle … they’re big shoes to fill and I knew that.”

In the latest movie in the collection, Boston’s character pretends she’s estate planner Annie Merkel, who arrives to work with three grown siblings who all return home to mourn the death of their grandmother. As they decide which one should take over their family’s company, drama ensues — but Mrs. Miracle helps them focus on what really matters.

“I just think there’s so much hope in a story like this and I want to see her help more people,” Boston told People.

Boston also told Southern Living, “I had so much fun exploring just the idea that she has lived through so many different time periods so she’s bringing wisdom from the 1800s, from 1950, so when she’s called to this family, she’s able to bring so much to open their eyes to help them.”

Fans Say Rachel Boston is ‘Perfect’ as Mrs. Miracle

Fans have already given Boston rave reviews on social media, including someone who tweeted to Boston that it was the “perfect role for you!”

Another viewer tweeted, “I hope this is the first of many with you Mrs. Miracle loved it”

Someone else wrote, “Thank you for the movie! You were fabulous! The perfect role for you!”

Another supportive fan tweeted, “A perfect role for Rachel Boston! Loving this movie. So far it’s my favorite!”

Even on the set of the film, Boston admitted to People, she received praise from people who didn’t realize it was her first time taking on the role of Mrs. Miracle.

She told the outlet, “Our first day filming one of the actors came up to me and he was like, ‘You played Mrs. Miracle before, right?’ And it gave me so much confidence, I was like, ‘I have not, but thank you. I’ve played her for approximately an hour, but I hope to do this for a long time.'”

“Joyful Mrs. Miracle” will re-air multiple times on Hallmark Channel before Christmas, including on November 30 at 4 p.m. Eastern time.
