Although most Hallmark Channel duos live happily ever after, one three-year relationship is about to bite the dust. On April 22, 2025, Vulture’s Josef Adalian reported via social media that Hallmark Media will end its partnership with Peacock on May 1.
Adalian tweeted, “If you’ve been streaming Hallmark shows and movies via Peacock, heads up: As of May 1, Peacock and Hallmark will be ending their content sharing arrangement. Shows like THE WAY HOME will be leaving, and new movies will not stream next-day. Live feeds gone, too.”
The partnership with Peacock started in 2022, long before Hallmark expanded and rebranded Hallmark Movies Now, launching Hallmark+ in September 2024. With that becoming the one place Hallmark fans will be able to stream all of their favorite movies and series, the company is offering big discounts to new subscribers for a limited time.
Insiders Say Hallmark Channel’s Partnership Was ‘Fruitful’ But is No Longer Needed With Hallmark+

An inside source told TVLine that the three-year deal between Hallmark and Peacock was a “successful partnership,” it no longer makes sense given the robust content available via Hallmark+.
Adalian echoed that sentiment on Bluesky, writing that “it was a very fruitful arrangement. Peacock got a ton of great content; Hallmark got access to cord-cutters. But Hallmark is all in on Hallmark+ now. Peacock likely didn’t want to keep paying for content that was on a competitor”
During its first months, Hallmark+ not only expanded its movie library with hundreds of Hallmark classics but also premiered multiple exclusive movies — including “The Groomsmen” trilogy — and new series like “The Chicken Sisters” and a slate of unscripted shows, including Jonathan Bennett’s “Finding Mr. Christmas.”
In early April, the network announced a slight shift in strategy, bringing most new content — including an ever-expanding lineup of reality shows — over to Hallmark Channel, with each new movie and series available to stream on Hallmark+ the day after its premiere. That has replaced the need for Peacock to do the same.
There are still ways to stream live Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery programming for those who have subscriptions to services like Hulu + Live TV, YouTubeTV, Sling, or Pluto TV, according to Good Housekeeping.
New Subscribers Can Save 50% on Hallmark+ Before May 1 Switch
With the partnership between Hallmark Channel and Peacock due to end on May 1, the network is offering 50% off deals to new Hallmark+ annual subscribers, according to a Reddit thread of fans who’ve been posting their discount finds online.
Multiple people had success using the code APRIL50 while registering, said to expire on April 30. The coupon code brings the annual subscription rate down from $79.99 to $39.99. One user said they also found two other online codes — MOMHUB50, good through May 11, and MDPROMO, good through May 15.
New subscribers using a coupon code still get a seven-day free trial as part of their sign-up. The discount does not apply to the monthly $7.99 rate for Hallmark+, only for year-long subscriptions.
