Hallmark star Nikki DeLoach shared some sweet and mushy sentiments on the special day of a special friend and colleague. Kristoffer Polaha celebrated his birthday and DeLoach posted a lengthy tribute to him via her Instagram page.
Kristoffer Polaha & Nikki DeLoach Have Been Friends for 20 Years
On February 18, DeLoach shared a handful of photos on Instagram and she included a touching caption. “20 years of friendship. 20 birthdays celebrated,” she wrote.
DeLoach continued, “Kris, you are brilliant and a beautiful soul. You are a tremendous husband and father. And I’m so grateful God brought us together for a dream job 20 years ago on the magical island of Oahu.”
The show DeLoach referenced was “North Shore,” which aired 21 episodes from 2004 to 2005. Polaha portrayed Jason Matthews, who was the assistant manager for the Grand Waimea Hotel. The hotel catered to the rich and beautiful, who had high demands for the staff.
DeLoach played Mary Jeanne “M.J.” Bevans, Matthews’ “surrogate little sister and roommate,” shared IMDb.
Additional cast members included Brooke Burns, Corey Sevier, Jason Momoa, Jay Kenneth Johnson, Amanda Righetti, Shannen Doherty, and a handful of other familiar actors.
DeLoach and Polaha became friends while filming that show and now, two decades later, continue to admire and adore one another.
In her birthday tribute note, DeLoach added “It’s all been a gift” to watch Polaha’s “kids grow and become the men that they are today, to watch you grow as an artist and a person, to witness the love that you and Julianne have for each other.”
She finished her tribute by wishing Polaha the “happiest of happy birthdays, my friend. May this year bring you all your heart desires and more.”
Fans Adore the Friendship Between Polaha & DeLoach
DeLoach included a handful of photo highlights from her years of friendship with Polaha. He left a sweet comment thanking her for the birthday wishes. “I love you, Nikki. I couldn’t be more grateful that we have traveled so much together,” Polaha wrote.
He continued, “From being roommates in Hawaii while my family was just beginning (you were the first person to come meet Caleb in the hospital) to watching your family grow, to shedding who we were and embracing who we’ve become professionally and personally. All the seasons. It’s been awesome having you in my corner and being in yours. Our friendship has truly been a taste of Heaven.”
DeLoach was touched by her friend’s note and replied, “Love you, too, friend. Always in your corner. Always.”
Fellow Hallmark star Andrew Walker commented, “That last pic of him looks identical to Caleb!! 🥳🎉 love ya @polahaha.” DeLoach concurred that the photo she included that showed Polaha as a young adult looked very much like his son Caleb looks now.
Fans added sweet notes and birthday wishes in the comment section of DeLoach’s post.
