A new Hallmark movie, “Mystery Island: Winner Takes All,” premieres on Thursday night, March 13, at 8 p.m. Eastern. In a surprise move, Hallmark Media has decided to premiere the movie on both the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery simultaneously. The movie stares Elizabeth Henstridge, Charlie Weber and Kristin Booth. Read on to learn all about where it was filmed and behind-the-scenes cast stories.
‘Mystery Island: Winner Takes All’ Was Filmed in Panama
This new installment in the “Mystery Island” franchise was filmed on location in Panama, Parade reported. The home featured in the movie is the Villa Bonita in Panama, located in Playa Bonita. The gorgeous mansion is also called Casa Naga.
Weber shared that they finished filming in early December. “As filming comes to end here in Panama I’m grateful for such a beautiful experience,” he wrote.
Henstridge shared a video montage showing how beautiful it was to film in Panama.
Booth said about filming in Panama in an interview with Girls Gone Hallmark.
“Panama was incredible…” Booth said. “I fell in love with it. I fell in love with the culture. I fell in love with the environment and the people there… It was a gift to be there and work with the incredible crew because most of the crew was from Panama… Everyone just gelled and worked really well together.”
She said that she doesn’t speak much Spanish, but she tried to communicate in the crew’s language and it was “fun and challenging.”
On October 22, 2024, Cherry Bagnall posted that filming had wrapped and shared a montage video from Panama. “Love you all & love Panama,” she wrote. “A heartfelt thank-you to everyone for this beautiful adventure which I will treasure forever.”
She also shared a video earlier in October about her experience.
