Both Stars Were in Hallmark Christmas Movies This Year
Both Ory and Lowndes were in Hallmark Christmas films for the 2024 season.
Ory is well known for her leading role on “Chesapeake Shores” as Abby and her role as Red Riding Hood on “Once Upon a Time.” This year she starred in the Hallmark film, “Believe in Christmas.”
The movie premiered on the Hallmark Channel on November 30, and she starred opposite John Reardon.
Director Christie Will Wolf shared on Instagram that the movie is based on the book “Christmasland.”
Hallmark’s synopsis for the movie reads: “When Beatrice reluctantly joins her best friend on a trip to the enchanting Christmasland, she’s skeptical of the holiday magic surrounding them. But as she experiences festive traditions and meets a charming stranger named Ethan, she begins to question what’s real and what’s part of the experience. In the end, Christmasland helps Beatrice rediscover hope, love, and the magic of new beginnings.”
Lowndes just starred in a Hallmark movie that premiered on December 21 called “Happy Howlidays.”
Her lead co-star was Ezra Moreland, the winner of season 1 of “Finding Mr. Christmas.”
Hallmark’s synopsis reads: “Mia (Lowndes), a meticulous webpage editor for the Seattle Tourism Board, finds herself unexpectedly navigating the holidays alone. As the only one working, she’s drawn into an unusual encounter when she encounters a stray dog. Unsure how to handle the situation, she crosses paths with Max, a dog shelter owner. Mia agrees to let Max’s ailing dog find solace with her newfound companion, in exchange for Max showing her the hidden gems of Seattle. Through their journey together, they both step out of their comfort zones, discovering new perspectives and forming a meaningful connection.”
Lowndes is known for starring in five seasons of “90210,” along with her long list of Hallmark films and other TV projects, including “Mix up in the Mediterranean,” “Harmony from the Heart,” “Angel Falls Christmas,” and more.
