After John Reardon’s Cancer Battle, Meghan Ory Sweetly Marks Their Anniversary: ‘So Grateful You Are Here’

After a year of experiencing the “for better or worse” of their wedding vows, Meghan Ory was thrilled to celebrate her husband, Johnny Reardon, on July 14, 2025 — the real-life Hallmark couple’s 17th wedding anniversary.

Calling it the “best day ever marrying you,” Ory, 42, posted a series of throwback photos beginning with one on their wedding day in 2008, as Reardon carried Ory, laughing and barefoot in her wedding dress.

Referencing his treatment for tonsil cancer in 2024, as well as his dedication to Ory wrote, “I am so grateful you are here, healthy, thriving -planting your 1 million trees and still throwing flour at me after all these years. ❤️”

Meghan Ory Calls John Reardon the ‘Most Epic Human’

In her tribute to her husband, with whom she starred in the 2024 Hallmark movie “Believe in Christmas,” Ory wrote, “There is no one else I could imagine doing life with. You are the most epic human. I am so grateful I found you. Happy anniversary my love.”

Fans and friends showered the couple with love and congratulations in the comment section of the post, knowing what a tumultuous year they’d been through.

“Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Deidre Behar wrote, “Happy anniversary to an iconic couple that inspires us all!!!! Nothing you two can’t do!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” and Ory quipped, “haha except get our kids to sleep 😂😂 still losing that battle”

Although Reardon didn’t write his own anniversary post, he has publicly sung his wife’s praises in recent months, including on Mother’s Day in May, when he wrote, “You blow me away everyday with how much courage and grace you carry yourself with. You’re my hero. Ive also never seen someone so glamorous reach out to catch a poop from a 1 year old with a bare hand before it falls on the floor. Your reflexes are #catlike 🙂 You are truly the one and only. Thank you for everything you do. Love Love ❤️❤️❤️”

Reardon disclosed his cancer battle on Christmas Eve 2024, sharing the news in a joint social media post with Ory, and revealing that he was finishing treatment. In February, he excitedly shared in early February that his oncologist had cleared him to work again and that he was “cancer-free.”

Meghan Ory & John Reardon Are Back to Work & Sharing Their Home Renovations on YouTube

Ory and Reardon met on the set of the 2006 Hallmark mini-series “Merlin’s Apprentice,” according to Us Weekly, in which Ory played Brianna and Reardon played Jack.

They’re now raising three kids at home in Nova Scotia, where they’re renovating a century-old house after living for 20 years in Los Angeles. They share their escapades in home renovation on their YouTube series called “I Play One on TV.”

They’ve also both been diving back into work now that the toughest part of Reardon’s cancer journey is behind them. In May, Ory revealed on social media that “after the most intense and insane year of life, I’m heading off to do a movie, away from home for the first time ever.”

She wrote that Reardon was “holding down the fort. Solo parenting while the kids miss mommy. And again, after everything he’s been through, he is cheering me on. Supporting me. Supporting the family. Full of love.”

In June, Ory cheered on Reardon, who stars on “Hudson and Rex,” as he appeared as a judge and presenter the 64th Annual Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
