Hallmark star Luke Macfarlane walked the red carpet for the premiere of the new Marvel movie “Thunderbolts*,” and he brought along his partner.
Macfarlane took to his Instagram Stories to share a brief glimpse of his night out.
Luke Macfarlane & Hig Roberts Had a Date Night
On April 29, Macfarlane shared several Instagram Stories highlighting the event. In the third one, he posted a photo from Getty Images that showed him posing next to his partner, Hig Roberts.
The photo showed Roberts and Macfarlane standing close together, turned slightly toward one another. Macfarlane wrapped one arm around Roberts’ shoulder, and both men smiled for the photographer.
“DATE NIGHT for Papa and Dada,” Macfarlane wrote as a caption for the photo.
A video clip Macfarlane posted via his Instagram Stories showed “Thunderbolts*” star Hannah John-Kamen on stage with her co-stars. He wrote, “@hannahjohnkamen absolutely amazing in yesterday’s premier (sic) of the deeply emotional @marvelstudios Thunderbolts.”
The next Instagram Story showed a casual photo of him hanging out with John-Kamen. He noted she was “forever keeping me laughing.”
The Couple Tends to Keep Their Relationship Out of the Public Eye
Macfarlane and Roberts tend to be rather low-key about their relationship. As People noted, Roberts is a former champion alpine skier, and he currently works as a sports agent.
In June 2023, Macfarlane announced via Instagram that he and Roberts had welcomed their first child.
“Tess Eleanor Macfarlane– Born June 4th 2023. We started life with some hectic days and received world class care,” the actor wrote.
He continued, “On Father’s Day we got to take her home. Her Dads can’t wait to introduce her to all the remarkable people and the beautiful world we live in.”
The birth announcement contained several photos and videos from Tess’ arrival. One short video clip showed Macfarlane carrying the newborn in a car seat out of the hospital, and Roberts walked alongside him with one arm around the actor’s back.
Another photo showed Roberts gazing at the baby as her tiny fingers wrapped around his index finger.
On April 29, Footwear News shared the photo of Macfarlane and Roberts together at the premiere, along with highlights of other attendees.
“Thunderbolts*” stars Florence Pugh, who was front and center at the Los Angeles premiere. Others such as Wendell Pierce, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Xochitl Gomez, Sebastian Stan, Lewis Pullman, and David Harbour posed for photos on the red carpet as well.
