On February 27, Chabert shared her message in an Instagram Story, and a few fans reshared it on the social media site X (formerly Twitter).

The photo Chabert posted showed a group of ladies posing for a picture in front of a Christmas tree. Chabert and Trachtenberg were both in the photo, along with several others.

The snapshot included a handful of cast members from the 2006 horror movie “Black Christmas,” which starred Chabert, Trachtenberg, and others.

Along with the picture, Chabert wrote, “Michelle was so beautiful and lovely. We first met each other as kid actors in NY and had the chance to work together as adults on Black Christmas,” Chabert wrote.

“I have so many good memories of her,” Chabert wrote of Trachtenberg.

Chabert continued, “My heart is absolutely broken for her family and they are in my prayers. She will be so missed.”

Fans Still Remember & Love the Movie

The synopsis of “Black Christmas” on IMDb reads, “On Christmas Eve, an escaped maniac returns to his childhood home, which is now a sorority sisters one by one.”

In addition to Trachtenberg and Chabert, the cast of the movie included several other entertainers, including Katie Cassidy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kristen Cloke, Andrea Martin, and Oliver Hudson.

The movie may have debuted nearly two decades ago, but it has not been forgotten. Trachtenberg posted about it on her Instagram page not long ago. On December 7, 2024, she shared a picture of her character and the caption contained what it seemed may have been a quote from the movie.

The post received over 17,000 likes and nearly 250 comments.

“I still wish Melissa survived. She was the best, ❤️” one fan wrote regarding Trachtenberg’s character in the movie.

“You were my favorite in that movie. U could’ve been the survivor in the end,” another fan commented.

“Iconic movie, 🔥” declared another of Trachtenberg’s fans.

“Movie doesn’t get the love it deserves,” noted a fan.

“Love the 2006 Black Christmas! I was sooo excited that you were in it! Definitely a must watch along with the original,” added someone else.
