Hallmark star Lacey Chabert recently turned to an expert stylist for fashion insight, which she shared in a recent Instagram post. She posted a video on social media on May 7 where she explained she was “playing love it or leave it: jacket edition with my 8-year-old.”
Fans thought the video was adorable and did not hesitate to let Chabert know.
Lacey Chabert Let Her Daughter Decide Which Jackets to Keep
In the caption of her Instagram post, Chabert explained she was “Cleaning out my closet with my *stylist *my 8 year old daughter.” As she went through the process of cleaning out her closet, she tried on a variety of jackets to get her daughter’s opinion.
Some of the responses from her daughter, Julia, surprised Chabert. The young girl did not hold back on sharing what she thought.
Chabert kept Julia off-camera, as she does with all of her social media posts. Julia could be heard, and at one point, she gave her mom a high five.
At the beginning of Chabert’s at-home “Love It or Leave It” show, she explained, “We’re gonna go through my closet, we’re gonna try on some things, and the judge of this, who’s gonna make any final decisions on what stays and what goes, is Julia my eight year old.”
A quick correction was made by Julia to note that she is eight and a half, not just eight.
The first jacket Chabert bought when she was filming “Mean Girls” in Toronto just over 20 years ago. Luckily, Chabert’s daughter gave it a “Love It.”
Julia deemed another jacket to be “too pizzazz” for her mom. Despite it being a Burberry jacket that Chabert had scored on an exceptionally good deal, Julia declared it was both a love it and a leave it.
Another jacket got a “love it extra extra extra” from Julia. However, the next was declared to be “too chic” for Chabert.
Hallmark Fans Adored the Mother-Daughter Collaboration
A white blazer scored a love it because “It’s not too fancy, but it’s not too boring.” Julia suggested it was a jacket like what Chabert would wear to work or to go to lunch.
Chabert was caught off guard a bit with Julia’s next reaction. The young girl exclaimed, “What in the what?!” She described it as something that resembled the flower art installation at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
As the Chabert fashion show continued, Julia had an emphatic love it for an especially fancy jacket. Later, Julia decided her mom should “of course” keep a blazer that was a red plaid that gave off a holiday vibe.
Fans took to the comment section of Chabert’s post to gush over how sweet the video was.
One fan wrote, “This was so fun! I think Julia’s love or leave it needs to be its own show!!”
Another shared, “I’m crying at the ‘a bouquet of flowers at the Bellagio.’ You definitely found a great stylist. Julia did a great job!!”
