Kevin McGarry Hilariously Claims Hallmark ‘Begged’ Him Not to Attend Upcoming Event

Longtime Hallmark star Kevin McGarry claims network execs tried to bar him from attending the second annual Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City, announced on June 10, 2025. But the network, its fans — and even his newest co-star — have assured the “When Calls The Heart” hunk they can’t wait to see him there this December.

Announcing his appearance, during the third of four planned weekends for fans, the notoriously self-deprecating actor joked in an Instagram post, “They tried to keep me away – some would say begged – but no way José – had too much fun last year meeting all of you wonderful Hallmark and #wcth fans.”

Eloise Mumford Jokes That She’s Coming to Grab a Pic With Kevin McGarry

In the comment section of his post, McGarry joked around with his newest Hallmark co-star, Eloise Mumford, with whom he appears in “Villa Amore,” premiering June 21 on Hallmark Channel.

When Mumford wrote in the comments, “I’m gonna come for a pic,” McGarry quipped, “I charge double for famous people”

Mumford then joked, “hold please, selling my car”

While Mumford likely has plenty of pics with McGarry after filming “Villa Amore” with him in Italy, lots of fans expressed how excited they are to get their own photos and moments with the Hallmark hunk at the holiday event. He’ll be there alongside fellow Hallmark stars including Benjamin Ayres, Erin Cahill, Brooke D’Orsay, Sarah Drew, Peter Mooney, and “WCTH” co-stars Pascale Hutton, Erin Krakow, Viv Leacock, Chris McNally, and Kavan Smith.

One huge McGarry fan wrote, “See you there. I’m coming all the way from Norway just to meet you 😍🙌🏻🙌🏻”

Another commented, “So excited to see you again! December can’t come soon enough! 😍”

Inaugural Hallmark Christmas Experience Drew Nearly 80,000 Fans

For four weekends in a row, just like in 2024, a group of Hallmark’s top stars will gather in Kansas City for fan festivities from November 28 through December 21. Events include “Stars on Stage” productions like “holiday spirit-inspired games and competitions, yuletide panel discussions, and movie screenings,” per Hallmark.

Hallmark is encouraging fans to plan ahead in order to get tickets to the weekend they want.
