Jimmy Fallon Debuts Hilarious ‘Hallmark Movie’ Music Video

It’s no secret “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon is a huge Hallmark Channel fan, telling Lacey Chabert multiple times on his show what a big fan he is of her 41 movies with the network. Now, the comedian has taken his fandom to a new level with his 2024 holiday album, “Holiday Seasoning,” which features a funny duet with Cara Delevingne called “Hallmark Movie.”

The unlikely duo debuted their music video for the song during NBC’s “Holiday Seasoning Spectacular” special on December 4, 2024, which is still available to stream on Peacock.

When introducing the song “Hallmark Movie” to listeners of his SiriusXM Channel, Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Radio, Fallon said he wanted to pay homage to the many Hallmark movie tropes fans know and love, with Delevingne as his duet partner.

“Cara Delevingne is obviously a supermodel and she’s gorgeous, and an actress,” Fallon began. “And she can sing. So I always wanted to do something with Cara, and I had this song idea about these two people that are in a Hallmark movie.”

Explaining the premise, he said, “They’re just in that whole (Hallmark scenario) of like, ‘I run a cupcake shop, they’re going out of business’ … ‘Well, I’m a lumberjack that never left town and I’m gonna help you!'”

“So then they get together and they fall in love,” Fallon continued, “and he’s gonna save her business by using the lumber from his whatever — some Hallmark idea. But then at the end, she reaches for a knife and no one knows what’s going on! It turns out we’re actually in a Lifetime movie!”

In the music video, Fallon appears in a red-and-black flannel shirt and a tool belt as he runs into Delevingne at a hardware store. The two run into each other in a quintessential meet-cute moment and begin singing to each other.

Fallon’s verse begins with him singing, “I saw you walking in my hardware store, I’m a local in town, you ain’t been here before. My business is failing ’cause your boss built a Wal-Mart — oh my god, this is a movie on Hallmark!”

Jimmy Fallon Told Lacey Chabert He’s ‘Obsessed’ With Hallmark Movies

When Chabert appeared on “The Tonight Show” in November 2022, Fallon told her how much he loves Hallmark and even agreed to be in a future movie with her.

“I’ve seen all of them,” Fallon told Chabert about her dozens of Hallmark movies, “and you are fantastic!”

Pleasantly surprised, Chabert replied, “Have you really? You’re so kind!”

“I watch them with my dad — he likes them too,” Fallon told Chabert. “I watch them with my wife, too. And I watch it by myself. I just love…I’m obsessed. I’m obsessed!”

When Chabert suggested that he appear in a future movie with her, the crowd cheered and he excitedly responded, “Yes! I would love to be on Hallmark, are you kidding? Yes, let’s make this happen!”

Though Fallon does not appear in one of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas movies in 2024,
