Hallmark Alum Announces Huge Career First: ‘Very Excited’

Hallmark alum Jill Wagner announced a huge first for her career: signing on with a new agent. The talented star shared the news on Instagram, telling her followers: “It’s nice to hear that people believe in you… Who knows where this will take me.”


Jill Wagner Said She Didn’t Have an Agent for Most of Her Career

In an Instagram post, Wagner said that for the majority of her TV and film career, she hasn’t had an agent but instead relied on herself to find new work.

“A lot of people don’t know that for the majority of my 20+ years in the entertainment business I have not had an agent,” she wrote. “I was always able to hustle and find work on my own. I am a very proactive person so it was the ‘thrill of the hunt’ that I loved .”

However, now she has a team helping her and believing in her, she added.

“With all that being said, I am very excited to finally have a new team that will allow me to have opportunities I otherwise would not. It’s nice to hear that people believe in you and support you. Who knows where this will take me but it’s time for Jill to expand the ‘Army’. I am very excited to see what opportunities this connection will bring!”


CESD Signed Her for Theatrical Representation

Deadline reported that Wagner signed with CESD for theatrical representation. And she will continue to be repped by 3 Arts Entertainment and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Deadline reported.

Friends, colleagues and followers flooded her post with congratulations and words of excitement.

“They’re lucky to have you. 🔥” Andrew Walker wrote.

“Congrats!!” Danica McKellar replied.

Another follower wrote, “Huge congrats! I told a mutual friend … that you were my favorite Hallmark actress. Now, you are my favorite Great American Movie Channel actress, favorite Lioness actress and cannot wait to see what your future holds! Girl, you’ve got it!!”

Wagner has recently starred in a number of films for Great American Family, including “Aurora Christmas” in 2024 with Jesse Hutch, Lauren Holly and Bruce Boxleitner.

She’s also known for starring in many Hallmark films, such as the “Mystery 101” films, “Hearts of Winter,” “The Angel Tree,” “Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa,” “Christmas Wishes & Mistletoe Kisses,” “Maggies Christmas Miracle,” and more.

Most recently, she’s made big waves for her lead role in “Lioness,” the Paramount+ series created by Taylor Sheridan, who also created “Yellowstone.” The series is about a CIA operative balancing her personal and professional lives as she helps lead the war on terror.

Wagner stars with Zoe Saldana, Laysla De Oliveria, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly, Morgan Freeman, and more.

In an interview with Decider, Wagner shared that she brought the concept for the show to Sheridan, who had once been her acting coach. She said that Sheridan wrote the role of Bobby specifically for her.
