HALLMARK CHANNEL: January 2025 Premieres
HallmarkHallmark Channel has a jam-packed January ahead, with season premieres of its two hit series and a collection of four new “Winter Escape” destination movies featuring many longtime Hallmark stars. Here’s a rundown of everything to watch for.
JANUARY 3 — “The Way Home” Season 3 Premiere at 9 p.m. Eastern time: After Hallmark originally announced that the highly-anticipated third season of “The Way Home” would be available exclusively on Hallmark+, the company changed course after fan pushback. The new season will now premiere January 3 on Hallmark Channel and will be available to stream on Hallmark+ the day after each new episode airs.
JANUARY 4 — “Love of the Irish” Movie Premiere at 8 p.m. Eastern time: The first new movie of the year stars Shenae Grimes-Beech, Stephen Hagan, and Moira Kelly. Grimes-Beech plays Fiona, who’s “tired of her bad luck,” per Hallmark’s synopsis. Hoping to turn things around, she takes her mom on a trip to Ireland and winds up meeting a charming single dad who “helps her make her own luck.”
JANUARY 5 — “When Calls The Heart” Season 12 Premiere at 9 p.m. Eastern time: In the first episode of the new season, titled “The Mountie Way,” Hallmark says “change is in the air in Hope Valley.” The new season sees Elizabeth starts a new school year with two new students — her own son, Little Jack, and Dr. Faith Carter’s daughter, Lily Watson. There’s also a new Mountie cadet in town, played by Jacob Shoemay, and Nathan’s blossoming relationship with Elizabeth inspires an even closer relationship Elizabeth’s relationship with his adoptive daughter, Allie.
JANUARY 11 — “Polar Opposites” Movie Premiere at 8 p.m. Eastern time: This new rom-com spans the globe, starring Rhiannon Fish as Emma and Markian Tarsiuk as Andy. According to Hallmark, “Emma needs to get to Antarctica to reach her father and travels to South America but can’t get on a boat for the last leg. She sneaks onto a cruise ship and meets engineer Andy.”
JANUARY 18 — “My Argentine Heart” Movie Premiere at 8 p.m. Eastern time: Julie Gonzalo plays Abril, who goes to Argentina to save her family ranch from being bought by her ex, played by Juan Pablo Di Pace. Hallmark’s synopsis says, “When outside forces threaten the ranch the pair must come together, rekindling their love in the process.”
JANUARY 25 — “The Perfect Setting” Movie Premiere at 8 p.m. Eastern time: The last of four “Winter Escape” movies stars “Chesapeake Shores” alum Laci J. Mailey and “My Norwegian Holiday” star David Elsendoorn. Mailey plays an aspiring jewelry designer who goes to Belgium to visit her grandfather, also hoping to win the Valentine’s Day Diamond Contest there.
HALLMARK MYSTERY: January 2025 Premiere
HallmarkJANUARY 9 and 17 — “THE JANE MYSTERIES: A Deadly Prescription” at 8 p.m. Eastern time: So far, the only premiere announced for Hallmark Mystery in January is the channel’s premiere of Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar’s latest whodunit, which first premiered on Hallmark+ in the fall.
HALLMARK+ JANUARY 2025 PREMIERE
HallmarkJANUARY 2 — “Small Town Setup” streaming on Hallmark+: Hallmark fan favorite takes on a new role as dating show host in this new unscripted series, with all six episodes available to stream on January 2.
In each episode, per Hallmark, “an unsuspecting city dwelling single returns home to visit their small town parents, and is met with three potential dates. These suitors have been carefully selected by their parents and community, hopeful they will find love.”
STARTING IN JANUARY: Another new development worth noting is Hallmark’s decision to add every new movie to Hallmark+ the day after it premieres on Hallmark Channel or Hallmark Mystery. The company announced the move on December 18 and its decision to add every 2024 Christmas movie to its new streamer, too.
Peacock will also still have Hallmark movies available to watch for the three days after they premiere on linear cable. Hallmark+ subscriptions cost $7.99 per month or $79 for the year, after a free week-long trial.
