Hallmark Hunk Jake Foy Announces September Wedding: ‘Can’t Wait to Marry You’

Nearly two years after getting engaged, Hallmark Channel star Jake Foy is ready to walk down the aisle. On May 8, 2025, the Hallmark hunk revealed on social media that he’ll marry his beau of seven years, Nicolas La Traverse, on September 27.

Posting several photos of them at the scenic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, Foy quipped in his caption, “7 years later… that’s *commitment!*💍💍🙂‍↕️😘” but also shared his thoughts about the meaning of marriage.

Fans & Friends Are Celebrating Jake Foy & Nicolas La Traverse Setting a Wedding Date

Foy, who starred in Hallmark’s one-season series “Ride” in 2023 and now appears in “The Chicken Sisters,” also wrote in his Instagram post, “No one reads the captions, but — Our paths colliding in the vastness of space and time has revived my belief in a higher power; ‘whatever you conceive Him to be.'”

He continued, “If there truly is ‘a greater good’ that asks for our service, sacrifice, humility, vulnerability and moral conviction — it begins with a community of two; A pair made of two individual wholes, not two ‘better halves.'”

Here’s to a ‘wholesome’ future,” Foy concluded. “Forever & ever. Can’t wait to marry you 09/27/25!”

Fans and friends celebrated the couple’s commitment, with multiple Hallmark colleagues liking Foy’s post, including former “Ride” co-stars Marcus Rosner, Nancy Travis, and Sara Alicia Garcia. Others shared words of congratulations in Foy’s comment section, including someone who wrote, “Congrats on setting a date! Couldn’t be happier for the pair of you. 🥂”

Another wrote, “This is what love looks like🙂‍↕️🤍”

Jake Foy Met His Fiancé While Waiting Tables 7 Years Ago

Foy, 34, shared in a 2023 Instagram post that he met 27-year-old La Traverse, who runs his own production and social media management agency, while the actor was making ends meet as a waiter in Vancouver. La Traverse was seated at one of Foy’s tables — number 11, he pointed out — and the rest is history.

The couple first went Instagram official with their relationship in May 2017 and have shared other milestones as a couple there. For instance, they adopted a puppy named Daisy in August 2021 and celebrated buying their first house together in December 2022.

Foy, who starred in February’s “The Wish Swap” with Emily Tennant, proposed in May 2023 on the picturesque shore of Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park and shared engagement photos on Instagram. the photographer who captured the special moment shared his funny story of how the carefully-planned proposal almost got derailed.

Foy hired Nick Laferriere of Banff Photography to secretly capture the moment he proposed to La Traverse, but as the couple approached the shoreline of Two Jack Lake, La Traverse spotted Laferriere. He pretended to be taking nature photos, when the unsuspecting La Traverse handed him his cell phone and asked if he’d be willing to take their photo.

Laferriere was also recording a video to capture the proposal, so he posted a short online video of the funny plot twist, when he snapped some shots of the couple smiling with La Traverse’s cell phone and then, with some quick thinking, asked if he’d like him to take some with his professional camera. When they agreed, the photographer quickly started snapping pictures as Foy got down on one knee and surprised La Traverse.
