Jack Wagner Teases Filming Overseas for Latest Gig

Hallmark star Jack Wagner is working on a different project while on hiatus from “When the Heart Calls.” He has returned to his old stomping grounds for a brief stint, and a new social media post indicates he is filming some scenes abroad.

Jack Wagner Is in Italy Filming As Nick Marone

According to an Instagram Story Wagner shared on May 29, Wagner is in Capri, Italy, with the film crew for “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

In April, Deadline reported that Wagner would return to the role of Nick Marone for a guest arc. He began taping new scenes on April 10, and his on-screen return airs on June 13.

Marone’s return comes during a time when his ex, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) is going through some emotional times. She is struggling to move forward after another round of heartbreak with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), and Marone’s arrival sparks a lot of renewed feelings for Logan.

Wagner first joined “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2003, and he let go of playing Marone in 2012. He did return in 2022 for an appearance on the show’s 35th anniversary.

In his new Instagram Story, Wagner posted a video that initially panned the coastline of Capril and he added a hashtag indicating he was there for “The Bold and the Beautiful.” The video then shifted to show Wagner sitting in the backseat of a red vintage convertible.

Various crew members surrounded Wagner and the car. He wore a black blazer and black shirt with grey slacks as he prepared to film. When he spotted the person filming the candid video, he smiled and held up two peace signs with his hands.

The only star from “The Bold and the Beautiful” who could be spotted in the video was Wagner. However, several others are in Italy for the shoot. On May 12, Daytime Confidential shared that Lang, Kaye, and John McCook (Eric Forrester) would film in Italy as well.

Filming was slated to take place in both Naples and Capri, at least through May 31. The episodes featuring the scenes from Italy will air in July.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Has Filmed in Italy Several Other Times

As Daytime Confidential shared, “The Bold and the Beautiful” has filming in Italy a number of times previously. This is the soap opera’s first time filming in Naples and Capri. However, they were in Rome in 2023.

In earlier years, between 1997 and 2012, “The Bold and the Beautiful” filmed in Lake Como, Venice, Portofino, and Puglia.

Parade noted that Marone is Forrester’s half brother, and is the father to Logan’s son Jack Marone. His return to town is seemingly unexpected. While in town, he will provide stability, support, and comfort that Logan is longing to have.

Wagner’s return as Marone may go on longer than fans would have initially guessed, considering the length of time he has been filming. “The Bold and the Beautiful” teasers indicate that Logan is his focus in his return. However, Marone also has a history with many others currently on the canvas, and fans can likely anticipate some engaging encounters.

The actor is expected back on the next season of “When Calls the Heart.” However, he is seemingly taking his Hallmark hiatus to shake things up with the Logan and Forrester families for a short time.
