After 30 years of marriage, Holly Robinson Peete’s husband, former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, is still his wife’s biggest fan. On July 22, 2025, as the couple appeared together on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” Peete revealed he’s watched every one of his wife’s Hallmark movies.

When Lewis asked how many Christmas movies Robinson Peete had been in, her husband quipped, “72,000!” Laughing, the actress then clarified that “about 13” of her Hallmark movies have been holiday-themed.

When Lewis asked Peete if he watches any of them, he assured him, “I do. All of them. I definitely do.”

Robinson Peete, an alum of hit sitcoms like “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper,” first appeared on Hallmark Channel in 2015’s “Angel of Christmas” and quickly became a Hallmark fan-favorite. She has starred in the “Morning Show Mysteries” franchise, many holiday films, and most recently, in May’s “Hats Off to Love.”

The couple, who currently co-host the dating show “Kings Court” on Peacock, joked with Lewis that Peete’s favorite part about his wife’s ongoing relationship with Hallmark is the paycheck.

“He got his hand out like, ‘[Expletive] better have my money,” she laughed, joking, “He’s my pimp! I told you, he’s my husband and my pimp.”

“So you just give him your paycheck?” Lewis asked, and she quipped, “Yes, honey, here you go!”

Peete then interjected, “Well, you know, the Hallmark movies, they keep them clean, too, so I don’t have to worry about her doing any kind of (racy content).”

The trio had previously talked about the revealing cutout dress that Robinson Peete wore to the “Kings Court” premiere, so Lewis quipped that on Hallmark “she’s not wearing the dress she wore on ‘Kings Court!'”

“Exactly, see what I’m saying?” Peete laughed.

Peete has been a Hallmark star himself, co-starring with his wife and their kids in the network’s first reality show, “Meet the Peetes,” in 2018 and 2019. The series is still available to stream on Hallmark+.

Robinson Peete’s appearance in the May rom-com “Hats Off to Love,” co-starring Ginna Claire Mason and John Clarence Stewart, came after a two-year absence from Hallmark’s schedule. She told EntertainmentNow before the premiere that she was thrilled to be back.

“I went, you know, pretty much since 2015, making one, two, sometimes three movies a year,” she said of her history at Hallmark. “So I’m just excited to be back in the mix.”

When Lewis asked on July 22 if there were more movies to come, she said, “I just did one, one came out — it wasn’t Christmas, it was more of a Kentucky Derby theme movie — and I’ve got a couple coming out in ’26.”
