‘Holidazed’ on Hallmark Channel: What You Need to Know About the Charming Christmas Series

At last, Hallmark’s star-studded series “Holidazed” will make its way to Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s Christmas in July programming slate. The eight-episode series aired exclusively on Hallmark+ during the 2024 holiday season, but will now make its cable debut starting on July 6, 2025.

“Holidazed” chronicles the lives of six families who live on the same cul-de-sac, performed by an ensemble cast comprised of 36 principal actors including Hallmark fan-favorites like Erin Cahill, Holland Roden, and Ian Harding, as well as celebrated actors who are new to the network, like Virginia Madsen and Dennis Haysbert.

Where & When Was ‘Holidazed’ Filmed?

In “Holidazed,” the six families living on Oakslane — the Hills, the Woods, the Lins, the Manetti-Hanahans, the Lewins and the Camarenas — all have big holiday plans, but none of them go as expected, of course.

The first episode, “The Beginning,” outlines in quick-step detail how everyone in the cul-de-sac is connected and foreshadows the issues each family is facing, from strained relationships to a fake engagement. Most episodes of “Holidazed” focus on the saga of a certain family, but some cast members cross storylines, including Cahill, who plays the town sheriff and single mom.

Though the characters’ stories intertwine throughout the eight episodes of “Holidazed,” Cahill told EntertainmentNow in November that the script didn’t call for all 36 actors to appear in every episode. That meant many of the show’s stars — which include Loretta Devine, Noemi Gonzalez, Virginia Madsen and John C. McGinley — got to go home at different points.

As EntertainmentNow previously reported, “Holidazed” was filmed in Vancouver in late 2022. As they wrapped filming in early December, Cahill tweeted that it was “one of my favorite projects ever.”

She still felt that way two years later, as she promoted the show in November 2024, telling EntertainmentNow, “I got so lucky. I got to meet and work with everybody, and I was the only actor that got to do that. It was such a gift.”

‘Holidazed’ Stars Still Have Sweet Spot for Series 3 Years After Filming

Though three years have passed since the cast filmed “Holidazed,” it’s clear they still have a sweet spot in their hearts for the project. Many of them promoted Hallmark Channel’s premiere in early July, including young actor Sebastian Billingsley-Rodriguez, who played Cahill’s son.

“This was such a special one to film,” he wrote in a post on July 6. “Adored working with everyone (truly a star-studded cast), especially acting alongside the fabulous talents of Erin Cahill (the most amazing and kindest Hollywood mom) and Ian Harding (the most amazing and kindest Hollywood buddy). I loved playing Theo Jacobs in this special holiday mini-Series.”

Roden, who will star in Hallmark’s second “Holiday Touchdown” movie during Hallmark’s 2025 Countdown to Christmas, wrote of the series in the above post on July 5, “This eight-episode series follows six families from different backgrounds, cultures and generations, all living on the same cul-de-sac, as they gather for the holiday season. During a time when emotions are amplified, each family comes together to celebrate their unique, rich traditions and navigate family eccentricities that ultimately help them discover what they do have in common: LOVE in all its different forms. ❤️🎉❤️🎉❤️🎉❤️”

Hours before the series premiere on Hallmark Channel, Cahill shared on Instagram, “Watch the first two episodes and get some much needed Holiday Magic! You guys, this is TRULY one of my favorite projects I have ever done. The cast, crew, stories we got to tell… it was a dream come true and I can’t WAIT to hear what you think!! It was the greatest gift to be opposite @ianmharding and @sebastian_billingsleyrodriguez @dennishaysbert with the rest of this BRILLIANT cast. 💕”

“Holidazed” premieres with two back-to-back episodes on July 6 at 8 p.m. Eastern time, and will air two more episodes each Sunday night throughout the month of July on Hallmark Channel.
