Hallmark Star Lists House for $2.3 Million: See Inside

A star from the Hallmark network has decided to sell her rustic California home. The “Christmas Under the Lights” star Heather Hemmens has listed her home in the Topanga Canyon area of Los Angeles, California for $2.3 million.

Heather Hemmens Is Selling Her Topanga Canyon Home

According to Robb Report, Hemmens purchased the home in 2021. The listing describes the home as a “1970s treehouse-style residence” that is a “hideaway in a rural area of L.A.’s Topanga Canyon in the foothills above Malibu.”

An Instagram post shared by the listing agent, Neyshia Go, indicates Hemmens’ property has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The total square footage is 3,441.

The home has a primary residence that includes three bedrooms. The place offers “a serene and whimsical retreat” with a “blend of rustic charm and modern comfort.”

A guest house on the lower levels has an additional bedroom, along with a gym area, living room, dining room, and kitchen. The listing suggests the guest house would also be well-suited to be used as a studio or home office.

Hemmens’ home includes vaulted ceilings and lots of windows highlighting the views of lush gardens and trees surrounding the home. There is a stone fireplace, hardwood floors, a large deck, and a kitchen filled with high-end touches.

Outdoors, in addition to the large deck, there is a swim spa, hot tub, fire pit, terraces, winding paths and several shaded areas. The property, which sits on almost half an acre of land, is within walking distance of hiking trails and dining spots.

The Hallmark Star Joked the Agent Wasn’t ‘Playing Around’ With the Listing

Hemmens commented on the real estate agent’s Instagram post, writing, “WOWWWW we are not playing around. 😍😍😍”

Comments on the post described the house as magical, gorgeous, and beautiful.

The listing for Hemmens’ home on the Sotheby’s Realty site indicates the place was built in 1973. Photos in an October 2020 Instagram post show more of the stunning property and views.

Robb Report noted that Hemmens listed the property for about $800,000 more than what she bought it for in 2021. Zillow indicates the home was bought in January 2021 for $1.525 million.

Before Hemmens purchased the place, it had been on the market a handful of times between May 2017 and November 2020. Prior to that, Zillow indicates the property was sold in December 2003 for $862,500.
