A Hallmark star was just honored with a big award at a film festival. “Journey to You” star Erin Cahill shared the news via social media, and she made it clear she had a wonderful weekend.
Erin Cahill Was Honored at the Moonless International Film Festival
On May 18, Cahill shared some highlights from her eventful weekend via her Instagram Stories. One Instagram Story she reshared showed her accepting her award.
The text on the original Instagram Story read, “@theerincahill receives the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award at @moonlessiff Film Festival.”
Cahill shared, “More to come about this! I am TRULY honored and humbled to be presented with this award.”
Cahill attended the Moonless International Film Festival, held in Sumter, South Carolina, during the Sumter Iris Festival weekend.
The Hallmark Star Had a Blast
Cahill added some additional Instagram Stories showing fun moments from the festival weekend. She hung out with Karen Waldrup, a season 25 finalist of “The Voice” who performed, and a handful of others.
Text added to a photo showing Cahill with Waldrup and a handful of other women, she wrote, “These incredible women! Such a gift to spend the weekend with you.”
Julia Reilly from “Stranger Things” and the Great American Family project, “County Rescue,” also hung out with Cahill. The Hallmark star shared a photo of the two together and wrote, “@juliagracereilly you are the sweetest and kindest!”
An additional photo shared in Cahill’s Instagram Stories showed her posing with her award. She wrote, “Thank you, Wayne! This weekend was so special and what a joy to celebrate art in this way! I’m so honored by my beautiful award.”
The reference to “Wayne” would be Wayne D. Burdette, Jr., who presented Cahill with her award and is part of the festival.
In an Instagram post about the event, Burdette wrote that Cahill “is more than just an inspiring actress. She is an amazing compassionate, and one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met!!”
Burette continued, “We are looking forward to continuing our new friendship.”
The award and festival appearance came about a month after Cahill’s latest project debuted on Hallmark. “Journey to You” premiered in April, and as Hallmark noted, it was her seventh movie for the network.
Cahill also produced, and starred in, “Every Time a Bell Rings,” which was the first “original movie premiere for the standalone streaming service” Hallmark+.
