Within an hour of Christmas Con organizers opening ticket sales for its 2025 convention on January 3, VIP tickets were already sold out and full weekend passes were 50% gone. After small glitches in the past, That’s4Entertainment said it made sure it was ready for the rush of fans eager to connect with their favorite Hallmark stars and other holiday rom-com celebs.
In 2024, some customers ran into issues with online carts during last year’s rush, but a rep for ChristmasCon told EntertainmentNOW that they “have a new ticketing group and are prepared for the traffic” that the 2025 ticket release was expected to generate.
That’s not only good news for holiday rom-com fans, but also for the Christmas movie stars who love connecting with as many fans as possible at an event that’s become a holiday season tradition.
Christmas Con Was Started by Friends Who Wanted to Meet Their Favorite Holiday Movie Stars
Christmas Con 2025 will be held again at the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center in Edison from December 12 – 14. As in past years, there were a limited number of VIP and three-day weekend passes available. By midday on January 3, there were still some weekend passes available, as well as tickets for individual days.
Attendees can sign up for photo ops and autographs with their favorite stars, and attend festivities like private movie screenings, celebrity panels, and an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest.
That’s4Entertainment does not typically start announcing which celebrities will attend until the spring, but said on Instagram that an announcement about featured stars would be “coming soon.” In 2024, the convention’s roster of more than two dozen stars included Lacey Chabert (who served as official host), Nikki DeLoach, Michael Rady, James Denton, Catherine Bell, Brennan Elliott and a special screening of “Three Wiser Men and a Baby” with stars Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker, Paul Campbell, and Kimberley Sustad.
According to press materials, the first Christmas Con was held in 2019, created by several girlfriends who decided, after watching their favorite holiday movies one Thanksgiving weekend, that there should be an event allowing them to meet their favorite Christmas movie stars.
Stars Who Attended Christmas Con for Their 1st Time in 2024 Were Blown Away
EntertainmentNOWAt Christmas Con 2024, many stars told EntertainmentNOW why they love attending the annual event, including several newcomers who were blown away attending for their first time.
“The Groomsmen” star B.J. Britt, who also starred in Hallmark’s “The Holiday Stocking” in 2022, marveled, “This is so beautiful, this is like a Hallmark movie. Every day you’re gonna leave here with a smile on your face because there’s so many beautiful stories — some that make you wanna grab a tissue box, some that bring you joy. It’s such a beautiful experience.”
Christopher Russell, whose 2024 Hallmark movies included “Santa Tell Me” and “Operation Nutcracker,” was equally bowled over by his first Christmas Con and the long lines of fans waiting to get a photo or autograph.
“It’s been great hearing their stories,” he told EntertainmentNOW. “Just finding out where they’re from and what brings them here has been pretty eye-opening, actually. There’s a lot of hope in the movies that we make and there’s a lot of negativity in the world at the moment, so to be able to bring that to people and to make them feel a little bit better in their everyday lives is, I don’t know — I got a bit teary-eyed (here).”
“The Christmas Charade” star Corey Sevier called his first Christmas Con weekend “awesome,” telling EntertainmentNOW, “I didn’t know what to expect, but friends told me how amazing it is and it didn’t disappoint. It’s been just amazing meeting all the people who love our films.”
