Hallmark alum Cameron Mathison lost nearly everything after his home was destroyed in the fires that ravaged Los Angeles in January. On April 6, 2025, Mathison shared on social media that he was bravely going through the debris, hoping to find anything left.
Mathison’s home was a total loss after fires swept through L.A. He was able to grab a few items when he evacuated, but almost everything was destroyed.
Now, months later, he’s hoping to find a few items that might somehow be salvageable.
Family & Friends Helped Mathison Look Through the Debris
In an Instagram reel, Mathison shared a photo of himself wearing hazmat gear as he was just about to start digging through the rubble. He simply captioned the photo with a crying emoji.
In a video, he said, “Spending the day here in Altadena at what is left of our beautiful home. This swing, the kids grew up on, it’s all falling apart but it still kind of exists. So we’re looking through the rubble, through the debris, to find anything at all that we can find to salvage. We’ve got some jewelry that we’re looking for, some china, some Tibetan statues and art, and here we go. Just fingers crossed we get something, you know? Just memories.”
Behind him, as he talked, he showed the debris that marked all that was left of his once stunning home.
In another Instagram reel video, he showed a team of people in hazmat suits working with him to look through the rubble for anything that could be salvaged.
He wrote, “So so grateful for all the help from family and friends today.”
In March, Mathison reached out on social media and asked anyone who was a part of his past to help him rebuild lost memories.
He wrote: “I’m on a mission to rebuild a lifetime of memories that were lost in the fire—please share any PHOTOS you have of me and the family from over the years. I’d be so grateful if you could pass this request along to anyone else who knows me, so I can piece back together the moments that mean so much!”
He asked anyone with photos to email them to him so he could start piecing back together what was lost. Specifically, he asked for photos from elementary school, his modeling years, his children, or any other major moments in his life.
