Hallmark alum Cameron Mathison opened up about his first Christmas holiday season after announcing his split from his wife of 22 years.
The former star of the “Hannah Swensen Mystery” series on Hallmark attended Christmas Con and spoke with EntertainmentNow about his plans.
Mathison noted that this Christmas will be a big one for him. It’s the first holiday season since he announced the end of his marriage.
As a result of the split, the couple’s two kids will be with his ex-wife, and he’ll be celebrating without them.
Cameron Mathison Will Be Skiing in Colorado on Christmas Day

Mathison explained, “It’s my first holidays without my kids in 21 years. They’re going to be with their mom, which is going to be new for me.”
In anticipation of this big change, Mathison has made plans to keep himself busy. He noted, “This is a new chapter, but I’m going to make the most of it.”
He will spend Christmas in Colorado with his dad, and the trip will include a lot of skiing. Mathison shared, “I’m going to open presents on Christmas morning with him and his wife and then I’m going to hit the slopes.”
“So I will be skiing on Christmas Day. It’ll be the only way that I can kind of get through not being there with my kids,” Mathsion added.
Mathison’s Kids Attend College in Europe
In September, Mathison took to his Instagram page to send off his kids to college programs abroad. “Lucas just boarded his flight to London,” he wrote.
He added, “Miss these two already.”
Mathison added hashtags representing the American University of Paris and the University of Arts London to the caption of his post. An Instagram post from July gave fans insight into what the kids were tackling next.
“This fall, Lucas is off to London for the Foundation Program at Central St Martin fashion design and Leila is off to American University in Paris for psychology,” he explained.
At Christmas Con, Mathison also talked about a big project coming in 2025. “I’m launching something called Health 360. It’s a functional health coaching company,” he explained.
He shared he’s worked with a functional health coach since his 2019 renal cell carcinoma cancer diagnosis. “They’ve completely transformed not only my health but also my aesthetics and my physique,” Mathison noted.
The systems and protocols Mathison has followed will now be available via Health 360. He noted, “Tyler Hynes, Paul Campbell, they’re all working with my coach, too. Now I got them hooked up with them and they’re like, ‘I’ve never felt this good.”
