Hallmark’s Brennan Elliott is Proudly Celebrating His Heritage on St. Patrick’s Day

Among the millions of people celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, 2025, Hallmark star Brennan Elliott says he’s “very proud” to join in the fun.

The “His & Hers” star uploaded two social media posts the night before the holiday to express how much he loves celebrating his Irish-Canadian heritage. Fans flooded his posts with notes celebrating the occasion and his family’s background. Meanwhile, Hallmark is celebrating the holiday, too, by airing many of its Irish-themed movies.

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Elliott is kicking off a week of big celebrations, first with St. Patrick’s Day and next, on March 24, his 50th birthday. Posting a selfie of himself on March 16, Elliott wrote, “Very proud to be Irish ☘️ Canadian so wanted to give a shout out right back to everyone who has been wishing me a #happyst.paddysday! Tomorrow!!”

“THANKYOU for the ❤️ and please stay safe everyone,” Elliott continued, and then wished fans a Happy St. Patrick’s Day in Irish. “As we say in Ireland 🇮🇪 ‘LA FHE’ILE PADRAIGSONA DUIT!’ Cheers 🍻”

In a second post, Elliott shared a photo of himself with two buddies at a pub and wrote, “What do you get when u have a South African,a Romanian and an Irish Canadian havin a pint together?!?! A heck of a great time! #happysaintpaddysday ‘LA FHE’ILE PADRAIGSONA DUIT!” Stay safe and 🍻.”

Many fans joined in the fun, commenting on Elliott’s posts, including one who wrote, “Enjoy your green beer tomorrow 🍀 😋”

Another chimed in, “Happy St. Paddy’s Day, Brennan☘️☘️☘️ I hope your day is filled with Irish luck!! 🇮🇪 🍺🥃”

Hallmark Channel is Honoring St. Patrick’s Day With a Movie Marathon

Whether they’re Irish or not, Hallmarkies will get to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a movie marathon on March 17. Hallmark Channel has back-to-back movies related to Ireland scheduled throughout the day. Here’s the full schedule of movies:

1 p.m. Eastern time: The marathon kicks off with the 2022 Hallmark Mystery movie “Love’s Portrait,” filmed in Ireland and starring Aubrey Reynolds and Richard McWilliams.

3 p.m. Eastern time: “Forever in My Heart,” the 2019 movie starring Merritt Patterson and Jack Turner, also filmed in Ireland.

5 p.m. Eastern time: JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Allen Leech star in the 2021 movie “As Luck Would Have It.” According to the synopsis, Swisher’s character moves to Ireland “to acquire land that is perfect for a resort.”

7 p.m. Eastern time: Shenae Grimes-Beech, Stephen Hagan, and Moira Kelly star in “Love of the Irish,” which premiered in January 2025.

In addition to Hallmark Channel’s movie marathon, Hallmark Mystery will air “Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Murder in G Minor” starring Tamera Mowry-Housley, Risteard Cooper, and Marco Grazzini. The trio has been back in Ireland since February, filming new mysteries for the franchise.

Hallmark’s Irish-themed movies can also be streamed at any time on Hallmark+, which is currently holding a limited time sale on subscriptions.
