Leave it to Ashley Williams to troll her Instagram followers in a hilarious yet entertaining way. The “How I Met Your Mother” actress has been on an Instagram spree, showcasing all the wedding dresses she has worn in TV shows and movies.
The Hallmark favorite first began the “hunt” by posting a photo of herself in a white dress, crying. “Throwback to me, post ‘crying scene in a wedding dress.’ WHO can name the movie? 😝😭,” she asked her fans.
Guess the Movie!
As expected, followers quickly recognized the outfit, with one commenting, “Two Tickets to Paradise!! One of my favorite Hallmark movies ever!! ❤️❤️.” Another added, “THE BEST… the bathroom stall scene is iconic 👏🏻.”
“Two Tickets to Paradise” was released in 2022 by Hallmark and starred Williams, Ryan Paevey, and Mary-Margaret Humes. Directed by Dustin Rikert, the film has become a staple on the network, with many fans calling it their go-to feel-good comedy.
Seeing how much fun her followers were having, Williams posted another photo, this time from “How I Met Your Mother.” She shared a backstage picture of herself wearing a wedding dress and holding a Starbucks cup, writing, “Ok now we’re just having fun. Name that TV show! #weddingdress #flashback.”
Kimberly Williams-Paisley, her sister, joined the fun, commenting, “Oh heyyyy Victoria❤️.” Another fan replied, “Now HERE’S the one I was waiting for. Definitely HIMYM.” Let’s face it, Victoria is by far one of the best characters in the “H.I.M.Y.M” series.
A Sweet Real-Life Tribute
Williams continued to post photos of herself in more wedding dresses, including looks from “Good Morning Miami” and an episode of “Monk.” But one special image stood out: a photo of her in her actual wedding dress, standing beside her real-life husband.
“Actual wedding dress. Actual husband. Happy birthday, my sweet boy. Love you to the moon,” she captioned the heartfelt post, showing the couple hugging and sharing a kiss. The actress married independent film producer Neal Dodson on May 29, 2011. They share two sons, Gus and Sal.
Speaking with PEOPLE a few years ago about their relationship, Williams spoke highly of her husband, saying, “He grounds me. He allows me to laugh at myself and calms me down. He puts things in perspective.”
The couple also worked together on two Hallmark Channel movies: “Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday” and “Sister Swap: Christmas in the City,” which also starred Williams-Paisley.
Keep the hilarious behind-the-scenes coming, Williams! We are loving the comments!
