Andie MacDowell Hilariously Admits to Swooning Over Hallmark Hunks at Event

Legendary Hollywood actress Andie MacDowell has worked with her fair share of handsome leading men over the years, from Hugh Grant to Michael Keaton to John Travolta. But nothing prepared her for meeting some of Hallmark Channel’s biggest hunks at a recent fan event, hilariously admitting on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” how they made her swoon.

During her appearance on January 23, 2025, MacDowell laughingly told Fallon that when she attended one of the first-ever Hallmark Christmas Experience weekends, held in Kansas City in December, it was “shameful” how obsessed she was with them — especially their toned biceps.

Midway through MacDowell’s “Tonight Show” appearance, Fallon asked about her starring role on “The Way Home, now in its third season on Hallmark Channel, and shared his well-documented love for the network, gushing, “I love Hallmark. Big fan. Big fan!”

She replied, “I know you do, I love that!”

When MacDowell said she’d heard his dad is also a fan, Fallon said, “My mom and dad used to watch Hallmark all the time, and since she passed he just still watches,” Fallon said. “I love it. But also, I love what they do — they have these, like, fan (conventions) like Hallmark Con or whatever.”

“Oh, I went,” MacDowell exclaimed, referring to the four weekends of fans events Hallmark held in Kansas City during the 2024 holiday season, each featuring panels and activities with the network’s biggest stars.

MacDowell appeared alongside other stars from some of the network’s popular series. Among the “Hallmark hunks” in attendance were “When Calls The Heart” actors Kevin McGarry, Chris McNally, Kavan Smith and Viv Leacock, “Chesapeake Shores” alum Brendan Penny, and a surprise appearance from “Finding Mr. Christmas” winner Ezra Moreland.

Learning that MacDowell had attended, Fallon excitedly asked, “What’s it like!? I would love to go to that!”

MacDowell called the experience “sweet because the fans are so lovely, really gorgeous, they make you want to cry they’re so lovely.”

“But I got to stand on the stage with a bunch of Hallmark hunks,” she continued, breathlessly exclaiming, “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!”

“You know, I mean, I shouldn’t be surprised,” MacDowell swooned, “but I was! Oh my gosh, their arms are so unbelievable! They’re really like — you know, I touched them and I would be like, ‘Oh!’ Like that — I would be like, ‘Oh, oh, oh!’ And then I’d feel so shameful!”

After MacDowell’s confession, she asked Fallon if she could feel his biceps. Touching his arm and pretending to swoon, she joked that he should be part of a Hallmark “hunk-off.” which he laughed was “not gonna happen.”

MacDowell can currently be seen on the third season of “The Way Home,” airing Friday nights on Hallmark Channel and available to stream on Hallmark+ the following day.
