Ree Drummond Announces New Series

Food Network star Ree Drummond is giving fans a reason to celebrate.

The “Pioneer Woman” just announced that she and husband Ladd are launching a new series called “Drummond Ranch” on their YouTube channel by the same name.

And while fans of Ree’s cooking show on the Food Network would attest that Ladd is a man of few words on that show, a new trailer for “Drummond Ranch” shows a different side of the cowboy Ree has always affectionately referred to as her “Marlboro Man.”

The trailer begins with Ladd getting up before sunrise and getting to work on the farm. He explains, “Every morning, we’re just getting up early, working, always got something to do.”

Later in the trailer, Ladd says, “Being a cowboy was without a doubt what I was going to do. You have a responsibility to do the best job you can. To be the best steward or manager or caretaker of the gifts that you’ve been given.”

New Series is a Family Affair for Ree Drummond

Ree and Ladd aren’t the only Drummonds featured in the new series.

The trailer shows oldest daughter Alex saying, “I’m the first one, out of all the siblings, to come back full-time. It’s a pretty, like, special thing that we have going on out here. I mean not a lot of people really get to see things like this.”

In a blog on her Pioneer Woman page, Ree writes, “Paige plays a prominent role, as she was just moving home to work on the ranch—the first sibling to do so, which made for an interesting dynamic. Bryce was home from college and football for the summer, as was Todd. Again: A lot of things were captured!”

In the trailer, Ladd says to son Todd, “R.H.I.P., rank has its privilege, isn’t that right Todd?”. Todd responds, “Yes, sir, that’s why I have no privilege.”

The Pioneer Woman warns her Food Network fans shouldn’t expect it to be the Ree Show. She writes, “I play only a supporting role in this series!”. In the trailer, she is seen bringing Ladd and all the ranch hands breakfast.

In an Instagram post, Ree writes, “The real stars are the cowboys (and cowgirls!), cattle, horses, weather, markets, ups, downs, and everything in between.”

‘Drummond Ranch’ Will Feature Daughter Paige’s Ranch Wedding

In that same Instagram post, Ree teases that the new series will also feature younger daughter Paige’s wedding on the ranch.

Paige and her new husband David Anderson tied the knot in an elaborate ceremony at the Drummond family ranch in Oklahoma May 17.

Ree says “The Drummond Ranch” will show all the behind-the-scenes effort that went into throwing throwing the elaborate wedding that included a massive glass tent filled with flowers.

How to Watch ‘The Drummond Ranch’

In her blog, Ree Drummond says episodes of “The Drummond Ranch” will start posting soon on the YouTube channel. But she doesn’t give a specific date.
