Photos: Food Network Star, Michael Symon, is a Grandpa (Again)

Move over, kitchen chaos; Michael Symon has some new family excitement that has nothing to do with a recipe. The Iron Chef and Food Network favorite is celebrating another major milestone, and fans can’t help but smile along with him. His stepson-turned-son, Kyle Symon, from relationship with wife Liz, has already brought him two grandchildren, Butchie and Emmy, and now there’s another little one to celebrate. 

Welcome to the Family, Little One

Symon himself shared the big news on his Instagram, and the joy is absolutely contagious. “Butchie is obviously very excited about his new brother Walter Avery as is Emmy and the rest of us! Born August 15th, 7lbs 1oz & 20 inches everyone is healthy. Welcome to our crazy family buddy…we will keep you fed well I promise!” 

It seems like Walter isn’t just joining any family… he’s stepping into a full-on Symon foodie squad. And you can bet Michael is ready to spoil his newest grandkid; not with toys, but with recipes, snacks, and maybe a few behind-the-scenes kitchen tips (eventually). Mealtime with this family is about to get even more fun, chaotic, and delicious.

Grandpa Life Looks Sweet

Grandparenting suits Symon perfectly. He posted another sweet Instagram celebrating Walter, captioning a family photo, “Love this photo .. heart is full .. #wallyworld.”

It seems like he’s embracing this new chapter with the same passion he brings to his shows, his restaurants, and basically everything he touches. Grandpa Symon is already soaking up every cuddle, coo, and smile Walter has to offer; and we’re here for it.

Cooking Up More Success

While Michael is busy soaking up grandparent life, he’s also continuing to dominate the culinary world. His latest cookbook, “Symon’s Dinners: Cooking Out,” which mirrors his television series of the same name, made the New York Times bestseller list back in April. This proves that fans can’t get enough of his approachable, flavor-packed recipes. Whether it’s family dinners or special occasions, Symon knows how to bring people together around the table… and now his recipes are inspiring a new generation of home cooks.

Between loving baby snuggles, epic cookbook success, and plenty of home-cooked meals, it seems like Michael Symon’s heart (and kitchen) is only getting bigger.
