Popular DWTS Pro Explains Why He’s Not Going on Live Tour

Popular “Dancing With the Stars” pro Sasha Farber isn’t going on the show’s live tour for the second year in a row.

On the December 9 episode of the “Lightweights” podcast, Farber explained his decision to sit out in 2024.

“I wanted a break last tour. And just I was like, okay, I made the final. It was just a lot. And I’ve toured all the tours like I and the tour is so amazing. It’s so special because when you’re on the TV show, you don’t see the feedback, you know. But when you’re on the tour, you’re dancing in front of them.
And after the buses, you know, the fans wait for you. It’s so rewarding and it’s so special that you it’s really special. And I wanted to just emotionally have a break and take a pause from the tour,” Farber explained.

As for why Farber isn’t heading out on the 2025 live tour, he said it’s because producers already “have their peeps.”

Farber was a last-minute addition to season 33, finding out that he’d be dancing with Jenn Tran just one day before the cast reveal on “Good Morning America.”

The two did fairly well, finishing the competition just two weeks before the semi-finals. However, neither Farber nor Tran will be performing this time around.

Before the tour kicked off in 2024, Farber took to Instagram to share his feelings.

“I’m going to miss this so much, anyone who knows me knows how much I love tour!!!! Promise I’ll be back for the next one!!!!! ALSO make sure to get your tickets because you do not want to miss this show,” Farber captioned an Instagram Reel on December 27, 2023.

In the comments section, a fan asked if it was Farber’s choice to sit out and he said that it was.

Jenn Tran Was Upset That She Wasn’t Invited to Go on Tour

Tran was really hoping to be included in the DWTS live tour, which kicks off on January 7, 2025, in Richmond, Virginia.

“Sad about tour BUT hopefully gonna find somewhere I can keep dancing,” Tran captioned an Instagram post on November 20.

“I got a call about tour, and I won’t be going on tour, which is really sad because I really wanted to go. I felt like with tour, I was gonna be able to hold onto this feeling a little bit longer and hold onto this dancing moment that I’ve been having,” Tran said.
