Longtime “Dancing With the Stars” pro Sasha Farber opened up about the special thing he carries on his person.
On the December 9 episode of the “Lightweights” podcast, Farber said that he keeps the boarding pass for his last-minute flight to “Good Morning America” in his wallet.
“It was just so exciting. I actually, funny enough, it was such a special moment because I still carry this in my wallet, like, and no one knows about it,” Farber said.
The ballroom dancer explained all of the excitement he experienced when he got a call from executive producer and casting director Deena Katz.
“This is literally the boarding pass from that flight, Burbank flight, 7A, it was gate 7A, seat 22E, and it was doors closed at 845. And Deena called me, Deena called me, I wanna say, 7:45. It was like, it was a movie. It was literally like a movie and I have it in my wallet,” he added.
Farber and Tran were late additions to the season 33 cast. They finished the competition in 7th place.

Farber and “Bachelorette” lead Jenn Tran hit it off straight away and became extremely close while working together week over week. As the competition went on, their friendship seemed to toe the line of a romance — or, at the very least, a showmance.
Since being eliminated, Farber and Tran have spent quite a bit of time together. In fact, Tran has been staying with Farber at his California-area home.
“Sometimes I crash on his couch,” Tran told Us Weekly in late November. “I’m also out of an apartment very soon and he has five bedrooms in [his] place,” she added.
“He has dogs that need to be walked and fed and dishes to be cleaned and meals to be made. I’m just helping out around the house,” Tran said. Farber teased her, however, and said that she actually doesn’t do any of that stuff.
The maybe-couple has been inseparable since their first meeting and they don’t seem to be slowing down any. While they haven’t confirmed or denied dating, they got cozy at Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour on December 7 in Vancouver. Someone on Reddit snapped a photo of the two holding hands while on a walk in Canada, too.

Without sharing exactly what’s going on between he and Tran, Farber admitted that the way the two met was romantic. Everything that happened in the weeks that followed simply played into what seems like a fairytale.
“To build such a bond with Jenn, like it was like, this would be the perfect rom-com movie. I mean, Netflix, here it comes, really is,” he said on “Lightweights.”
And fans seem to agree.
“It really would make a banger romcom. Him: recently divorced, demoted. Her: dumped on live TV. Thrown together on a dancing show, can this be the second cha-cha-chance they’ve been looking for (I would watch it every time I was home sick),” one person commented on a Reddit thread about Farber and Tran.
“Thought this was a really fun interview. Loved hearing about how he got on this season; it really does seem like a movie,” the OP wrote, kicking off the thread.
