Season 20 “Dancing With the Stars” champ Rumer Willis has grown her family by one.
During a recent trip to Mexico, Willis adopted a new puppy that she named Tennessee.
“Tennessee the newest addition to our little pack of Willis Women. The sweetest most tender gal. We love you so much already. Thank you to the incredible team at @acredogs (Dolores is from here too) for helping us find our new family member,” she captioned an Instagram post on February 14. She promised her fans that she would share the full adoption story at a later date.
Willis shared a series of photos of herself, her daughter, and her new pup.
Tennessee joins Willis’ other dog Dolores, as well as big human sister, Louetta, 1.5.

After Willis shared the news about Tennessee, dozens of fans took the comments section of the post to react.
“What a sweet little doggy,” one person wrote.
“Yes, I wish all people can refer to their doggies as part of the family. THAT IS HOW IT SHOULD BE,” someone else said.

Rumer Willis’ New Addition Comes After Her Breakup From Derek Richard Thomas
Willis and Derek Richard Thomas ended their relationship sometime in 2024. During a Q&A on her Instagram Stories back in August, Willis confirmed that she was single.
“I am single momming it and coparenting. I’m so grateful for Lou She is the best thing in my life and I’m forever grateful 1 was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life,” she responded to a fan who asked if she was still in a relationship.
In another Q&A in December 2024, Willis was asked if she wanted to give Louetta a sibling.
“Yes, absolutely,” Willis responded to the question. “Hoping to give her one this year,” she added.
Willis also confirmed that she’s single and went on to answer questions about how she planned to conceive her next child. Willis admitted that she’s “not quite sure.”
“I am opening myself up to a wide variety of options, but ideally with a partner,” she said.
