Kristin Cavallari is rethinking her reality TV career. “As fun as it was, it was not normal for me anymore,” she revealed on the July 22 episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast. “I’ve said it a thousand times about my previous shows, but there is a level of stress that comes with being on a TV show.”
Cavallari, a reality TV vet, recently wrapped up her podcast tour which was captured on camera for her series “Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour.” She loved the experience, but is not eager to keep it going for more seasons.
“Obviously, the podcast tour was incredible,” Cavallari, 38, explained. “I got what I needed from it personally [by] pushing myself out of my comfort zone and accomplishing my biggest fear in life. I just don’t feel like I need to do it again.”
She also expressed how happy she was with the way the show turned out, and didn’t want the pressure of having to live up to the first season’s success. “We got really lucky with a lot of the natural drama. I just don’t think TV is for me anymore, is what I’ve realized,” Cavallari revealed.
Kristin Cavallari’s Life In Front of the Camera
Cavallari was just 17 years old when she made her reality TV debut on MTV’s “Laguna Beach” in 2004, and she has remained in the spotlight ever since. Following the success of “Laguna Beach” she joined the show’s spinoff series “The Hills” in 2009 and appeared as a contestant on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2011.”
In 2018 she opened up her life to audiences again with her own series “Very Cavallari” and in 2025 her show “Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour” premiered, documenting her podcast tour.
Ahead of “Honestly Cavallari,” she told Us Weekly she was in fact hesitant to do more reality TV, but felt her new show was a departure from her earlier series. “… this is not a show about just my day-to-day life. I was already going on a podcast tour, and so I just kind of thought, ‘Why not let cameras come along?’”
What’s Next for Kristin Cavallari?
Without the stress of constantly being filmed, Cavallari is free to concentrate on her current professional passions: her podcast and her jewelry and beauty brand Uncommon James. “My work-life balance is so good that I don’t think I want to rock the boat again,” she shared.
Admitting that she wanted to quit reality TV seemed to be a freeing experience in itself. “In a lot of ways, like, putting this out into the universe is finalizing that decision,” Cavallari explained. “I just don’t even want to do it again.”
