Actor and former “Dancing With the Stars” competitor Joey Lawrence has reunited with his wife, Samantha Cope. On December 4, Lawrence shared some pics of he and Cope at the premiere of the film “Marry Christmas.”
In one of the photos, Cope placed her hand on Lawrence’s chest as they smiled for the camera. In another photo, the two shared a kiss, officially confirming that they are, indeed, back together.
“I am beyond grateful, I am beyond blessed, I am galaxies beyond thankful. My heart is so full,” Lawrence captioned the post.
Back in August, TMZ reported that Cope had filed for divorce from Lawrence just two years after they had tied the knot. They first met in 2020 while working together on the set of Lifetime’s “My Husband’s Secret Brother.”
The on-again couple share one daughter together.
Fans Were Left Confused by the Instagram Photos
Shortly after Lawrence uploaded the pictures of him and Cope, dozens of people took to the comments section to react. Many were surprised to see that the two had reconciled.
“OK someone explain this please as long as Joey is happy I’m happy but yea I’m confused,” one person wrote.
“Ok what the heck is going on?? She was last I heard saying he wa unfit as a father!!” someone else added.
“The confusion is level 10. We support you. We love a family reconciling, but is there no explanation? Not that you owe anything but since you put everything on social media, it’d be great just to find out what’s up lol,” a third comment read.
“Wait!! What??! I’m so confused! Weren’t you two divorcing?!! Are u back together?” a fourth Instagram user said.

Sources say that Lawrence had a really hard time following his wife’s divorce filing.
“He’s trying to take it all in stride, but he is very disappointed and upset at how all of this has turned out,” a source told People magazine in a story published on August 26.
Flash forward less than four months and things look very different for Lawrence and Cope.
On December 1, Cope took to Instagram to promote “Marry Christmas.” The romantic comedy, which also stars Lawrence’s brother Matthew, was released on December 3.
At the time they were filming, Cope was pregnant with the couple’s first child. She shared some pregnancy pics from behind-the-scenes of the set when she was about 30 weeks along.
“You’re the best,” Lawrence commented on the post.
Cope doesn’t have any other photos of Lawrence on her Instagram feed in 2024. The last picture she has of him was posted in November 2023.
