Actor Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope are giving their marriage another go. The season 3 “Dancing With the Stars” alum and his actress wife have reconciled after they split over the summer.
Just a couple of weeks before Christmas, People magazine reported that Cope signed an entry of dismissal on December 1. The outlet confirmed that the dismissal was filed by the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles.
According to Page Six, Cope filed for divorce from Lawrence in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. The two tied the knot in 2022 and have one daughter together.

On December 4, Lawrence took to Instagram to share some photos of he and Cope at the premiere of the film “Marry Christmas.”
“I am beyond grateful, I am beyond blessed, I am galaxies beyond thankful. My heart is so full,” Lawrence captioned the post.
Dozens of fans took to the comments section confused, asking if Lawrence and Cope had decided to give their love another chance.
On December 12, Lawrence posted a picture of he and Cope on a flight and his caption answered many of those questions.

Things Got Messy Between Joey Lawrence & Samantha Cope Prior to Their Reconciliation
After the split was reported, rumors that Lawrence had an affair with his co-star surfaced. He released a statement denying anything romantic was going on between he and Melina Alves.
“With a deep sense of responsibility, I want to respond to the recent allegations surrounding my personal life, including my divorce and the claims of an affair with Melina Alves,” he said in a statement on Instagram, which has since been deleted.
“Melina and I became close friends and I did not have a physical relationship with her while filming the movie ‘Socked in for Christmas.’ These rumors are false. Our bond was based on shared experiences and an understanding of the challenges we were both facing in our personal lives,” he continued.
He went on to call his relationship with Cope “deeply troubled.”
“I was clinging to hope that I could save a relationship that, in my heart, I knew was beyond saving. My short-lived marriage was fraught with difficulties from the beginning. Our differences became insurmountable,” he said.
Cope then shared her own statement, telling People magazine, “As a mother who values her daughter above all else, I find these false accusations deeply troubling,” Cope shared in the statement. “I am confident that the truth is known to me, to Joey, and to God.”
“I am choosing to put my focus on healing, caring for my daughter, and processing the loss of my marriage and my family,” she added.
