The season 33 “Dancing with the Stars” finale airs on Tuesday, November 26. Five couples remain, and they all are serious contenders to win the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
The press release from ABC shared big teasers about what fans can expect from the November 26 “Dancing with the Stars” finale. It’s a 3-hour episode, so viewers have lots to look forward to before the Mirrorball trophy is awarded.
The Finalists Will Deliver 2 Performances During the DWTS Finale
All five remaining couples will first perform a “redemption dance.” ABC suggests that all five will also share their freestyle dances as well.
In addition to the finalists’ routines, the network indicates that fans will see a “sensational” opening number and a performance by the professional dancers joining the DWTS Live 2025 Tour.
Fans will also see Mark Ballas and Derek Hough dance together, and season 32 champions Val Chmerkovskiy and Xochitl Gomez will hit the dance floor together again, too.
During the Redemption Round, each of the five finalists will tackle a dance they did earlier in the season, that the judges think they can improve on.
Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong’s redemption dance utilizes the ROSÉ and Bruno Mars song “APT” for a jive.
Danny Amendola and Witney Carson will use the Post Malone and Morgan Wallen song “I Had Some Help” for a tango.
Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten are dancing a jive to the Ray Charles and The Blues Brothers song “Shake a Tail Feather.”
Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson will perform a cha cha to Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold’s redemption dance is the quickstep, and they’ll dance to The Rembrandts song “I’ll Be There for You.”
The Freestyle Dances Are Shaping Up to Be Fabulous
“Dancing with the Stars” fans typically have high expectations for the “Dancing with the Stars” freestyle dances. Luckily, it looks like the season 33 finalists are ready to deliver.
All five finalists and their professional dancer partners have shared sneak peeks into their freestyle rehearsals.
Amendola and Carson will do their freestyle to a combination of Lizzo’s “Pink” and the Ryan Gosling song “I’m Just Ken.”
An Instagram post revealed they are portraying Barbie and Ken, and they are pulling in familiar faces to help. The performance includes eliminated pros Pasha Pashkov, Britt Stewart, and Gleb Savchenko.
Graziadei and Johnson are doing their freestyle to the District 78 song “Canned Heat.” An Instagram preview from their rehearsals showed that Chmerkovskiy and Ezra Sosa are a part of their team.
Kinney and Armstrong’s freestyle uses the Eyal Vilner Big Band song “Hellzapoppin” and the Curtis Mayfield song “Move On Up.”
On Instagram, the pair noted that they decided to use all Black dancers in their performance. This is because Armstrong and Kinney are the first Black pair to make it to the finals.
The performance includes Stewart and troupe member Marcquet Hill.
Maher and Bersten also are bringing in a lot of familiar faces for their freestyle. They’re dancing to the District 78 song “Femininomenon” and viewers will see Emma Slater, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Sosa, Chmerkovskiy, and Savchenko.
Nedoroscik and Arnold are doing their freestyle to the Coldplay song “Viva La Vida.”
The pair’s special guests are Nedoroscik’s fellow men’s gymnastics teammates. Arnold’s big sister, former “Dancing with the Stars” pro Lindsay Arnold, has been involved in rehearsals, too.
